I have been buying new sleds and chasing power for 55 years and I have never seen it so quiet. No talk about the new sleds that will be released in about 4 weeks. Are we getting sick of the high prices and the add ons or the high cost gauges that don’t work and the clutches that bang when trying to move. I suppose it could be the crappy snow year we are having also. What do you think?

Everyone needs to look at these newer over priced sleds more carefully. Constant posts about gauge problems, cheap 1 ply tracks coming apart, now ski's breaking, rollers breaking, electric start issues, injectors failing, fuel sock issues, shock faults, standard items taken away year after year. These seem to be the most talked about items over the last several years on here yet doesn't seem to be getting any better. Sure these sleds look sweet but lets be honest quality is not where it should be for what we the consumer is paying.

Looking at spending $104,000 for a new 2025 F350 crew dually Powerstroke. It's not cost of everything going up, it's this green colored fiat toilet paper we use for money getting more worthless day by day. Our pay does not go up with inflation. Welcome to the central bank and debt notes. Soon it will all be gone and a man will be able to raise a family and pay for a home with a 20 hour work week when we go back on gold and silver coin.

The way the winters have been going the past several years, this is the first winter I'm not even complaining about how crappy the weather is this year. I stopped spring ordering in 2017 and I doubt I will spring order again... or even buy a new sled at this point given the minimal amount of winter at this point in the cycle.

@SledWreck also makes good points above. I'm not crazy about some of the changes the past several years and how they have watered down the selds. The prices don't justify the value Doo is providing at this point. I have 3 900 XS sleds that are bullet-proof, fun and will last forever at this point given the short winters.

I spend 9 months a year now in Florida and was out on the boat yesterday. I'd rather be out in the sun and on the water than sitting around waiting for snow that only lasts a few days. The past several years we came back north for Xmas and then sat around January and February waiting for snow. We were lucky to get two weeks of riding in during that time and that took 10 - 20 hours of trailering each trip. We decided this year to head straight back to Florida after Xmas and wait to see if there was riding to be had.

We planned a trip to the UP the week of February 5th because the UP is usually guaranteed good conditions in February. This year the rails there are barely hanging on by a thread and some trails still aren't open because the swamps aren't frozen yet. The next 13 days shows temps above freezing during the day with no snow in sight. Clubs are starting to stop their grooming because they're are already losing snow and the ground is soft. Unless something changes I'll be cancelling and this will be the first time in 10 years I didn't get out at least once.

A friend of mine I ride with sold a SxS he had a couple years ago because he was't riding it enough. He just went out and bought another one because the winters suck so bad at least he can use the SxS.

Winters have been pretty crappy here in the NE
Prices on new sleds is really getting out of hand
Ive got 200 miles on my new machine and the snow we had will mostly be gone here in the next few days because of warm temps and rain. Its been tough for me to get excited about it anymore.

I think that 25 will be a BNG year. Maybe a turbo BC but that’s it.

BRP is only doing a virtual dealer meeting so that tells me that they don’t have much to get dealers excited about.

At this point I have zero interest in ordering a 25 and I have ordered a new sled every year since 16.

i've been looking to buy a Rave after i pulled my deposit in September, i could get some pretty good deals from dealers but trying to sell my 2016 1200x gage for a decent price will be next to impossible. i'm just going to sit on what i have, it'll last forever and it gets the job done. i don't really need anything more

Ive had zero interest in anything since i purchased my sled in 2019. Even it has the wrong track length for my taste but ill live.

Unless prices and interest come down (and we get more consistent winters) i forsee the sled market taking a hard hit and all manufactures going to a order only system, no in season models.

Doo needs to start letting people build sleds the way they want optioned new, that could possibly help sales/spring orders.

We've been very spoiled lately. Polaris has kept pushing with their own innovation but brought zero news to 2024.
Cat did very little for innovation and advancement until the much over due Catalyst. Yamaha gave up.

After a bad snow year I don't think we could blame Doo for taking their foot off the pedal but I also think they'll keep the snowball rolling one way or another.

Off the top of my head, trail market has seen consistent improvements/additions since the birth of the G4 but really since the Rev Doo has been great with yearly advancements and avoiding the BNG years.

2017 - G4/850
2018 - G4 XRS, G4 Backcountry and Freeride
2019 - 900T & 600R, wide body expansion
2020 - Expedition Xtreme
2021 - 600 efi, ras x/rMotion x, 7.8 screen/brp go
2022 - 900R, 130T, smart shox, Lynx
2023 - Gen5, iPad. Neo line, plus 120/200s
2024 - 850 Turbo, Gen5 expansion

lol what did cat innovate on the Catalyst? they just caught up to everyone else, and do didn't really have to do anything even the SC5 is a better skid than whats used on any other snowmobile sold today let alone the R Motion. and lets be honest, the XP/XS were great chassis, no matter what anyone says they can still hang with any sled on the snow today. and the wide body 1200s are the nicest to look at excpet the 2024 RAVE and 2024 BC XRS in Blue/orange, in person those things are stunning <3

There isn't really much to talk about for 2025. They'll put the 850R turbo in a couple of other sleds, the g5 will propogate itself further through the lineup, and the color options (not black) for spring check sleds will change.

Spring orders will be dramatically lower this year than previous, but prices won't drop. They will stay level (no increases) for the next 2-3 years until the market rebounds. They will use rebate programs to drop prices as needed to adjust to the market and supply.

My perspective as a lowly 600 rider: I personally like the 7.2 and wouldn't pay for the iPad. I would very strongly consider smart shox. And definitely would pay for SHOT. I considered the 900t 130 but only x package and terrible shocks at that I couldn't do it. I know most barstool racers consider the 600 a woman's sled so I'd bet they could actually sell a pile of 600R/130T with smart shox and iPads as "wife sleds."

In the end, it took a very long time for us lowly 600R guys to finally get a 137" XRS so I would be surprised if there is much if any attention given to the 130 class.

Ski Doo needs to remember that while the younger guys in their 20's & 30's might buy 1 high performance sled (850/900R) every 2-5 years, it's the guys in their 40's & 50's with families who are keeping 4-5 sleds current. Most families will have some 600's/130T's mixed in, and they often have the disposable income to afford the bells and whistles. BRP would be wise to open up the upgrade options on the lower/mid HP sleds.

The best deals I ever got was when we went through a couple bad winters in a row. I purchased left-over sleds from two different dealers. They had sleds in crates sitting in their lots in late March and early April 2018.

I got a 2017 TNT 900 still in the crate for $7500 and a 2016 Blizzard 900 Demo w/ 10 miles on it for $7000 and it included a spare belt and LinQ Bag. After that I said I would never pay the big bucks to spring order again knowing how much money could be saved on new sleds if you have some patience.
