Can you measure the width of the panels on the sled from the very edge to the other edge? I cant believe how wide this sled looks

It's roughly 37 inches flare edge to flare edge. I don't mind the flares as they are going to make a perfect area for venting heat.

A sheet of this, or something similar works great as a template for drilling holes in your panel. By far the best vents you can put in a sled

Hey sleddingfarmer---I am considering drilling the panels in my 2014 1200x. After you drill the holes would you recommend putting screening in behind or not ??

I ride 95% trails.

Also--Thanks for the link for the template.

Don~

Oops I just saw this. I wouldn't worry about any screen if you're just drilling on the back side of the panels near your knees like I did. I've been in deep powder, buried up to the headlight, stuck repeatedly and never had any issue with snow getting in. For trail riding, you'll be fine
