Tundra vs Summit?

Hey everyone! I’m new to the site, it’s great to be here! I’m having a debate with myself. I’m not sure what I should get. A 2022 Tundra LT or a 2022 Summit SP 850 e-tec 146” with 2.5” paddles. The kind of riding I plan on doing is through the woods and in some clear cuts slow moving looking for antlers along with some ice fishing, but I also want to be able to go bomb around with my buddies and climb up some steep terrain and some deeper snow. I’m trying to weigh the pros and cons of both. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

The tundra is going to shine at the slow speeds and as a work horse compare to the 850, while the 850 will shine more riding the steep and deeps with your buddies.
There are places that are easy to ride on my tundra like super tight trees compare to my mountain sled, but there also is places where I go on my mountain sled where the tundra would struggle. So It depends on what one your going to do most of, or just get two sleds.

Since you will be riding with your friends I would say go with what they ride so you can keep up. You can also clutch a Summit so it can tractor around at slower speeds. I have my Summit set up to engage at about 3000 RPM, makes it great for boon docking through the trees.

I think you’ll be happy! Get a set of skidoo scratchers and a bumper with a hitch. Learn how to keep an eye on the engine temps, you’ll have a blast.
