as far as im concerned oil is oil as long as it is for snowmobiles and not just outboard oil it will be fine. i run motomaster all the time it is cheap and you can buy it in a 20L pail. i have never had a problem with it it, you can be confident it wont damage your machine.

 

I have always run skidoo or ams oil in my sleds and they work great. Im not so sure i would run any other oils, but thats up to you. I am an amsoil dealer out of saskatchewan and if you wanted to pay shipping i could probabbly get some up to fort mac for you.

 

I thought that I read somewhere that Crappy Tire brand of oil was produced by Imperial oil.....I know of a few guys that I ride with use it and have had zero issues with it..Cheap and easy to get...here in Newfie!!

 

I haven't heard too much about Esso's EasyMix oil (good for injection or mix). It is also a low ash, and conforms to most requirements. I am tempted to try some, but still hesitant.
Any experiences?

 

I don't know about other providences but canadian tire in ontario carries shell advanced snowmobile oil, it's a good price $24/4L, I have run it in several machines over the years with no problems.

 

I would have no problem running that oil in my sled...I was actually just looking at it the other day. It meets the JASO requirements and also API I think so that's good enough for me. I actually have been running Coop Sonic XL-S synthetic oil. Costs $26/4L, which is not too bad I thought.

 

If your gonna buy oil from Crappy, you might as well use Amsoil Hp Injecter Oil. It is a synthetic and it is priced well.

 

I looked at crappy tire for Amsoil HP or interceptor and I found nothing at my store in Fort McMurray. I think they were out of stock.

 

The biggest problem with Canadian tire is they go product shopping and they will use what ever they can get for a good price. One time they will have Esso the next they may have Husky, if they can get the best deal that is what they buy . They do the same thing with there tires as well .

 

Jeromeo, Go to Gregoire and theres a place called The Parts Counter
they got Amsoil. That's where I'm gonna get mine.
Place is real good to deal with, they now carry sled stuff, and is cheaper than Raven truck...
example: one carburetor boot $180 at raven truck
at the parts counter, my dad got them for $30 each.

OH, second thought, theres a house down in waterways, apparently sells amsoil, saw a AMSOIL SOLD HERE sign out front,
but I'd go with the Parts Counter.
