Mineral all day long. I ran $13.00 Mystic for 8,000 miles on mine.

 

I have been running semi-synthetic Citgo sea and snow in the 09 but have a 15 I'm picking up next week. I was wondering what kind they actually recommend now.

 

on the ski doo site ; 2015 owners manual they recommend ski doo synthetic oil . your citgo oil has changed to mystic oil a few years ago , same stuff just a label change .

Citgo branding still exists, just price checked it locally last week.

 

Any API-TC rated low ash oil will be fine in that engine. I've got an 18,000 mile REV that gets nothing but Castrol Super Snowmobile oil.

 

1400 miles on 2014. Only seen amzoil interceptor. No issues yet.

 

XPS Mineral or Synthetic.

 

I appreciate all the info guys, I know I can use a different oil and have used Amsoil and Citgo sea and snow, still using the sea and snow in my 09. I was just wondering what type of oil, mineral or synthetic they actually recommend now that they discontinued the semi-synthetic. I'm pretty sure they said use semi-synthetic in previous years for that motor.

 

On my 2020 Ski-Doo Renegade 600 carb I am running ipone synthetic oil(strawberry scented).
