couldn't tell ya. If you need new skis try them out. I do think they are a more aggressive ski than any other doo ski.

 

I think i will be trying them out next year, i would like to put the RX front end on my 23. But think i will start with ski’s

 

You will not be able to order them as of now but later on in the year you will be able to when you punch in the part numbers they don't even come up yet

 

I would like to see the RX ski next to the Lynx ski.

 

Me too. I have a sneaky, sneaky suspicion that it's the exact same ski...which is at least well reviewed on the lynx and, IMO, makes sense in its design philosophy. I was tempted to try a pair of the lynx skis on my '22 MXZ (which just happens to have red skis) but I went with slydogs instead as they were a bit cheaper and a bit more aggressive (which was the whole issue I had in the first place...stock skis not being aggressive enough)

 

I'd like to try them as well. For me it would most likely mean waiting for Snowtrackers to be made for them since I've had them on 4 four stokes.

 

You will not like snowtrackers on them ,Too much bite,But they already have ST for them .

Yup, just compared both of them, the RX has a deeper keel, not by much but still.

 

Too bad I did not take pics yesterday when I compared the two. They actually had a 2025 Comp right next to a 2025 Rave so it was easy for me to check them out.

That shows the skis are yellow but according to brp the kits that will be available in the fall that will be fully assembled will be black and if you want yellow skis you'll have to buy the parts and the pieces

in my opinion if you like snow trackers i would stay with them and keep your old ski. the snow tracker becomes the ski. if you like the single skag design then the ski design can make a huge diff .

 

 

June 19 has come and gone. Any updates on these?

 

I have concerns over tracking with the deep keel, single skag on the new ski. In the past our doo's sleds would jump/track into other ski tracks. This was the beginning of the pilot, tx, dual skag, designs ski's from doo. It is concerning that going back to a deeper single keel ski, they may stepping back into the past with a tracking issues? Fine for aggressive riding but may not be such a great ski for other purposes?

 

When you look at the bottom of the new RX ski you'll see that the center of it beyond where the runner goes looks to be able to flatten out the track in front of it and not get stuck in an existing groove in the trail like having a built-in navigator

Hard to tell in pic, is it a rocker design or flat as a board?

 

As far as I can tell, flat as a board (with some slight waves/ripples from the manufacturing process). I answer this in the context of "rocker" skis that skiers use...see here: Ski Camber and Rocker Explained | Jans Ski Expert Info Center

I'll try to get a decent image but, I don't know if I'll be able to.

What I received have this molded into them: "505075971" "PILOTRXV2.0" if that changes anything. I ordered individual skis so I can put handles on that are not black.

 

I wonder if you can put a dually carbide on this ski?

I sent BRP a message about the handles for the RX skis they sent me a basic reply I'm trying to find out if it's stronger but they said that the handles are specifically for that ski

 

Hi Kenneth! The 505074778 handle is a standard handle and fits a variety of Ski-Doo models and has a more basic design.

The 50507564 (364) handle is specifically designed for the RX ski and resembles the Pilot X handle like you mentioned. It may have a more ergonomic shape for a better grip.

Anyone have thoughts on if RollerSkis/RouSkis designed for SkiDoo X skis will fit the new RX? I emailed Qualipieces asking if they have RollerSkis for my '25 MXZ X 600 on order, but haven't heard back yet.

 

Not sure if you know but the RX ski will not come on the MXZ X model. That is what I am told and if you look at the website once you click on the X model on the 600 you will see just Pilot X ski. But in the PDF download file it says Pilot RX ski. So not sure what is really coming now. Both the X and XRS get the RX front suspension but the SKI not sure now. I have the same model as you in the 129 coming. So now I am going to wait till the sled comes in and see what the X model actually has on now. Then I will make a decision if I want to get what Mark post above as a kit.
