Found an old track for trailer ramp traction. Looks like 1.5 lugs. Any suggestions for install? Should I use any type of screw or do anything to level out the track? Appreciate any suggestions - only want to do this once. Thanks.

My brother and I rebuilt a trailer some time ago. We took an old track and cut it so it would lay flat. We through bolted some open hooks in one end that attached to welded eyelets on the very back of the trailer. Loading was super easy as you always had a traction mat to allow the sled to climb effortlessly up the trailer. Just throw the track on the ground and attach the hooks.
We had a 2 place tip up trailer. On the centers we screwed down some thick rubber mats my brother got on a job site. Both our sleds were studded and this worked awesome.

I used a hacksaw to cut the track. It cuts through the track quite easily.

The track will just lay flat. I cut the 121" track I had 3 times to get three pieces of equal length track and then just used nuts and bolts to thru-bolt the track to my deck and that was it.
