New Snowtrax Polaris Commercial

Snowtrax has apparently decided Polaris shouldn't have to make their own commercials anymore and the Snowtrax team will just make them for them. Hard to describe this anything other than an 8 minute Polaris commercial. So many ridiculous comments in this it's hard to keep of them all.

"The IQ chassis was amazing." - The IQ was basically a Fusion dressed up in different plastic. Polaris was forced to redress it because the Fusion was such a debacle. Not to mention it was already outdated the day it was released.

"The Dragon and Dragon SP are sleds I would be more than happy to ride today" I'm not sure how anyone can say this with a straight face. - Would anyone who isn't hammered on Polaris Koolaid or bathing in Polaris dollars actually choose an IQ over an XP or even the Rev?

"These sleds all had best in class handling and ergonomics, fantastic ride quality, and while not the fastest in top speed, they all perform excellent on the trail." (referring to the IQ and Pro ride) - The IQ had dated ergonomics, and the pro ride never handled quite right until they made the Axys updates. Maybe he needs to go back and watch his videos from the period when these guys were getting all the Doo Koolaid they could handle?

"I'm gonna make a bold statement right now. The release of the all new Indy XC made last season the most important and impressive for Polaris since the introduction of that very first TXL Indy." - They moved away from their rising rate suspension, which they billed as market changing, went back 10 years to a falling rate suspension, went back to a traditional tunnel, and stuck this on a sled that had already been on the snow 4 years. Definitely a milestone year to remember.

"It is the sled that all others will now be measured by" - Totally objective here. I will definitely be measuring my sleds performance against the Indy and hope it can somehow stack up.

"It offers exactly the same experience as that original TXL Indy did in 1980, a glimpse into the future of what snowmobiling will look like from here on out". (referring to the Indy) - Yep, back to a falling rate suspension, back to a solid tunnel, all bolted on to a sled that was released four years ago. Yes, this is a glimpse into the future.

Polaris makes sleds a lot of people like and their sleds do a lot of things better than Doo sleds. They may be better than Doo sleds. I'm not arguing one is better than the other. I'm simply pointing out how absurd these comments are. These guys portray themselves objective reporters on the industry however they have been anything but. It's frustrating to me, because there are so few sources to truly get good information when trying to select a sled. Even on the forums Polaris has their "Ambassadors" spreading a bunch of crap information. These guys could be that type of source but they have chosen a different path. They could have kept this about the original Indy and the history which would have been cool but they had to turn it into a sales pitch for the current Indy.

The Lester brothers have been Polaris biest for quite some time now that great because it is made in the USA if it was so much better I would buy IT! . SO don't tell me that Polaris is so much better than the other brands at everything they are not. Fit and finish sucks to work on them SUCKS even more they may have a better handling front suspension but not by a lot the rest of the sled no thanks.

Just watched it.

This is the title of the vid.

"A Look Back At What Makes The Polaris Indy A Legendary Snowmobile"

I feel like we're on dootalk, but so many of us older guys are really starting to see that the Polaris, although it has its own issues, is making a pretty good sled. Is the Indy the best sled made for me THIS SEASON.....yes it is/was. Will my main ride be a ski-doo for 2021....I'll be riding it tomorrow, I'll let you know.

You had to know watching a vid called ^^^^, was gonna be Polaris is great, but I heard almost as many Polaris FAILED comments as good stuff.

Lester boys are doing their best to make a living doing what they love....I'm a tad jelous.

I'm jealous as well. I would love to have their job. Maybe these types of videos are what is necessary to sustain their business? I obviously have no experience in that business and don't know what it takes. This just struck me as the most egregious brand plugging they've done recently.

It's been renamed to PolarisTrax for a while now. Any form of media using a Polaris dealer (Byers in Orilla) to do reviews on other brands sleds looses all credibility instantly. The brothers are best friends with Jamie Byers where they get all their Polaris stuff from. What do you think Polaris guys, getting sleds from a Polaris buddy, using the same Polaris buddy to do reviews of others sleds is going to say its laughable at best.

Its just good to see doo (see doo haha) admit their (front) suspension was in need of a redo finally.

I rode a 2017 Iron Dog and a 2019 G4 600r back to back last week.....I prefered the Iron Dog (XS). Not nearly as nervous as the G4.

I will say, the r-motion feels to me much better then my Poo XC rear end.

Heck, if Polaris goes under, what are the Lester boys going to compare ski-doos to lol?

Lets hope Yamaha does SOMETHING for 2021.

It's 2020.

Think of a different word to use.

The polaris ad was pretty bad. I'm not the most knowledgeable but even I was groaning at some of the comments. Polarises were turds before the 2014 indy.

Polaris would have a larger market share in every market theyre in if their QC came up. Its obvious in every aspect of everything they sell. I've owned and ridden A LOT of polarises over the years.

"The Dragon and Dragon SP are sleds I would be more than happy to ride today"

I near through up on my key board .

My son and i both bought new 800 dragons ,they spent most of there short life in the shop getting repaired. They were the biggest pile we ever owned .When my grandson was in Quebec two weeks ago ,his cat died .He rented a polaris khaos ,the rental guy gave him a box of plugs said he would need them .He only had to replace one . He did say his next sled would be a polaris khaos ,he rely liked that sled .

Years ago the lester boys knocked the Doo 1200 for a very, very slight hesitation coming off idle. It's there, because of the very long intake runners (which help create nice amounts of power). However, the year before they gave the Skidoo GSX 1200 sled of the year..Go figure.

Those guys seem to tell it like it is. I would be on a Polaris 850 right now if the ergos were not so dirt bike. Seat is way to too tall for me and I'm 6'.
So you would agree with them that the IQ was amazing, you would be happy to ride a dragon today, the current Indy is a glimpse into the future of snowmobiling.

As someone who owned a Dragon 700 when it was new, I have to agree with a lot of what they said. The Dragon was an extremely capable and comfortable sled. In rough trails, it was a weapon, pure and simple.

given the choice today between an 07 or 08 Dragon or IQ, and a Rev or XP, it would come down to condition, and nothing else. All those sleds would be fun to ride even today, but only if they were in "as new" condition. Put 12 years of wear and tear on them, and any of them could be rather tortuous to put miles on.

I guess we will have to agree to disagree. I didn't own one but have put a few miles on one. What I remember was the seat was like a brick and it rode real stiff. However it had same the same light and responsive steering that Polaris sleds have today. Especially compared to the XP. If trails were rough though, I personally wouldn't hesitate to take an XP or a Rev over a Dragon. I thought the rider forward design on the Doo helped a lot in the bumps.
