I’m just curious how rare a ‘68 Super Olympique is in 2023-2024. As far as I know, there were 50k-65k Ski-Doo produced in 1968, but I could be completely wrong. Any idea on how many Super Olympique were made that year? Thanks
Thanks! With this information I can probably assume there are more than 2500 left at leastHere is a estimate for ya ( est only)
According to the ski doo history book there was 70,276 Ski-Doo sleds produced for the 68 model year with the Oly accounting for the lions share. I doo know that there was 11,000 Super 370s ( manual start) and 469 super 370 with E start. There was 117 TnT - 8 ( 600cc). That is 11,586 sleds that I know of.
Then there was the Alpine which I doo not know numbers for but would be surprised if there was 5,000 of them ??
That leaves 53,690 sleds for the 250 and 300 Olympics. Give about 1/2 to each ? So a very rough guesstimate is 26,845 of the 68 - 300 Olympic.
If you contact the Bombardier museum in Valcourt they can tell you how many were produced.
As to how many survived to today, I have no idea.
What makes you call your sled a supersport ??I've got what i think is a 69 supersport...
Are these considered rare?
There seems to have been a "SS" option in 1969 - Maybe also dealer installed like the E-start?There was 2263 of the 69 - 320 Olympic. All manual start, no model # for a E-start sled. Not to say E-start was not added to some by dealers.
