So I've just gone through 2 sets of oem secondary rollers in about 3300 miles and my secondary and helix are getting chewed up. I do have a clutch kit from Straighline Performance. Should that affect the life of these rollers? I have nothing bad to say about the clutching, this sled flat out rocks on the trails. For those of you with Hi-Torque rollers, what kind of mileage are you getting out of them.

Interesting side note, these roller sets have both grenaded slightly after blowing each of my 2 bad belts (both 197's).

Aren't the Fett Brothers rollers and Hi-Torque rollers entirely different products?

When I look at the Fett website, their rollers say "mfr: Fett Bros." I would have expected them to say "mfr: Hi-torque" if they were the same product.

I know there's a lot of Hi-torque cheerleaders on this site. But does anyone have some experience with Fett's rollers? In either TRA or secondary? Are they made of a different material? Fett advertises something about Teflon...Hi-torque does not.

Anyone know the difference?

No, I talked with Hi-Torque directly this morning and Fett is a dealer. The only carry the Super Torquer ones though. I wanted to overnight them diretly from her, but she suggested Fett & Sled Head as being local dealers. She actually called be back to tell me that they may come in a Fett Bros packing, but they are in fact from Hi-Torque.

changed from OEM to HiTorque right after break in % hit zero, 300 miles. No problems.

I have them in both my sleds. No problems yet...the OEM rollers don't take the abuse of drag racing as the ones in my TNT went after only 100 miles (30 of which were 1/4 mile asphalt passes)

Ordered at set from C&T yesterday. Maybe they will help...? Had to have my clutches rebuilt at 3000 miles on my new E-Tec-800. Thought Doo was going to warranty them. Found out yesterday they rejected the warranty claim and my dealer wants me to pay. Still having inconsistant rpm issues even with the rebuilt clutching. So I brought it back. I'm hoping my dealer can work with BRP to figure out what's up. I have the extended warranty.(BEST) They are saying it doesn't cover worn clutch parts. The sled wasn't even a month out of the 1st year warranty. This is my 1st Doo. Worn out clutches at only 3000 miles?????? Never had this problem with last 5 sleds I owned.(Polaris/Yamaha) Are there any aftermarket parts for the primary clutch that will help prevent wear?

I wonder if they would warranty them period? I assume they would call clutch parts a wear item even if it was still under original warranty. I know the first thing they will ask is "what failed'? If dealer can't point to a problem BRP says; normal wear no warranty. BS if you ask me...The clutches are not holding up on 800 etecs or the 1200's. Used to be the TRA was a durable piece that required nothing more than blown out with compressed air a few times a season.

Well... went and picked up my sled today. BRP agreed to pay for the parts, I pay for labor. Not bad but still shouldn't be wearing out at such low mileage. The old Doo clutch design is not up to the power of the 800 E-tec. Doo, hope your reading this...time to re-design the primary clutch!!!!!!

The old TRA desig is up to the power. But TRA7 is not an old design.
They where way better when CVTech made them, now they are made by Team.

A brand new TRA made by team can be in worse condition than a 10-15 years old tra that was ready for the scrap pile.
My sisters summit 600-07 has near 8000km on it, clutch has never been disasembled only blown out with compressed air, once a season at most.
Took it apart and everything is perfect. Solid rollers and buschings.

Took a 2011 gade 600 clutch apart today with 997km on it.
Both buschings had to much play on the axle. Rollers where sloppy, nowhear near the 2007 summit that has almost no play in them.
And the govenour cup is bad aswell. Excesive playon the splines.
