Great Info. No, the only thing tied into an aux. plug is the heated glovebox phone holder that came with the 7.8 Gauge from the factory. I can't seem to find a second Aux. plug anywhere, but wasn't sure if the new harness had (2) plugs or not since they chose to use it for the heated bag, so I ordered the splitter to pull off of that one for the GPS. I spent prob 20 mins looking for a second plug, but will tear off the hood, etc. this weekend when I install a skid plate and should be able to confirm.
So the plug your looking for is under the hood (since it appears your not using it) left side of steering post attached to the post surround, it will be plugged into the plastic.. see #1 below.

So if your only wanting to run your GPS when the sled is on and you have a several choices, one is the old cig plug, another is USB and lastly is the factory direct wire. I have not seen the splitter for that factory bag to be honest.. but if you ordered/found one that's great. Otherwise..if you just want to wire to the factory aux plug you would want ether this plug from GnR:

Most electrical accessories from BRP come with the y cable to continue adding more accessories...with the exception of the heated visor plug, that does not, the ELinq power connector does though.

I know this is an old thread, but lots of good info here to bump it up again.

I do have a couple questions.
1. Does the heater come on all the time, or is there a thermostat? I installed this and the USB glovebox outlet simultaneously and the outlet works well, but I cannot sense any heat on the resistor pad. (60 deg inside, and run for 2-min... Got really smokey FAST).
2. I installed on a '19 Enduro 850 with the accessory LED headlight already plugged in to the assigned "accessory" port. This means I now have a heated seat, LED headlight, USB charging plug, AND glovebox heating pad.... All on the same circuit (to my knowledge). Should I be afraid???????

Thanks all!

Should be no worries of overload, amperage available is quite high as I remember. The cell holder is low heat, if there is moisture inside it may fog otherwise almost impossible to tell if working. It does work well for keeping phone warm enough to charge.

I use a combination of Google maps and the Skidoo app/Polaris app. I track myself though with an iPhone app called JAS tracker and I export that file when I’m done riding into another app called Fog of World which shows you everywhere you’ve tracked. You could just create one big ass track on JAS

I have one and it ruined my iPhone 11. Not sure if it’s getting too hot or if it’s the vibration, but the camera on my phone is messed up after using the glove box extension

I have a 2023 Gen5 Renegade X with Glove Box and heated cellphone holder. Also have the intelligent USB charger installed in glovebox. The final piece of the puzzle... cant seem to find this documented anywhere - it shouldn't be this hard - but how do you route your USB cell phone cable from glovebox into cell phone in heated cell phone holder? What screws..etc.. do you have to take off to get the cable from glove box into your cell phone. I assumed my dealer would do this... but not!.

I found this part# 860202372 on instructions.brp.com that shows assembly of USB cable.... 4 torx screws. Dealer installed heated cell phone holder and USB charge plug - unsure why they didnt route the USB charge cable to cellphone holder - USB cable was sitting in my glovebox.

Pull the 4 torx screws on the face but be careful as they are spring laced and under tension. Behind the face plate you'll see that there are clips to route your cable out the right side of the holder. You'll have to play with it to get it right. The rubber nubs on face are moveable to size it to your phone. Hardest part is putting face plate back on.

That sounds a bit like another step backwards for the G5 stuff - or is it? Am I missing something?

On the G4 extension it's just a slot the cord runs through, works great. Also no need to move any rubber nubs, the foam insulation holds the phone nicely.

When I moved the rubber nubs to the size of my phone - they seemed really easy to remove... almost like I thought to myself - boy these are going to fall out. But after 470 miles last week on my maiden G5 Rene X voyage - they all stayed in place.

Sorry - one more observation - although it was cold last week usually -5 to 10 last week. When I pulled my phone off - I wasn't really impressed how warm the back of the phone was. Especially since phone has a case on it. Sometimes I was wondering if heated cell phone holder was working.
I'll try it in my garage this week and feel it with my hand after a few minutes - temps are in upper 20's this week.
I also ran with Cardo Packtalk Edges last week - they only lasted 2-4 hours before they needed a warmup and a quick charge - they just cant deal with that kind of cold.

i was told from skidoo dealer that at 0 or below it starts working.i thought mine was broken but they said no its not.

Im going to change my comments.... so I tested my heated cellphone holder - Its 39 in my garage. For the holder there's a white piece of material in middle I think that insulates the phone from directly contacting the heating element behind it. I was was touching that white center piece to see if its warm. (Red X'ed piece below in picture) The element behind it is what gets hot. Someone above mentioned heating element comes on only when 0. Thats a bad rumor. My garage is 39 and it got pretty warm within a few minutes of idling the motor.
