Can some one help me with mounting my 680? Bought glove box extension for my 850. What wiring harness/mount do you use? Is it just the one off ebay that comes up? Then wire it to 12v power?

Yep, same exact one. I bought the cheap version from GPS City and hard wired it to my battery of my 2016, so that it would be easier to use gps while the sled is off.
When you turn your sled off, the Montana ask if you want to continue on with battery power. Not sure about 850 install, but on my 2016 Blizzard the splice harness supplied with the Skidoo mounting kit, made everything plug & play. You may be able to buy that harness from your dealer.

Yep, I understand. And when you forget or don't get to it in time, it will shut off. Friend of mine used the harness on his XS & always had that happen to him, so he hard wired it on his 2018 FreeRide.

So I can buy the cheap one and hard wire it. I like the idea of it being on whole sled is off.

Ive been running an old Garmin V for years on various sleds. I mounted it to the riser with some Ram mount stuff. Always hardwired it (with an inline fuse of course) so that when you are trail side and turn your sled off and are standing around trying to figure out where you are, the unit stays on so you can use it. The only time it is off is when I remove it from the mount. But I rarely even removed my Gamin V from the mount when at the bar - nobody wanted it!

Just got a new Garmin 680T. That will be coming off whenever I leave the machine. When I get my sled out of storage I'll see what I can reuse from the old mount.
