Fanless LEDs from Beamtech

I know LEDs have been discussed at length but haven’t seen anything specifically mentioning the V4 series from Beamtech. I get the impression they are a newer product. They are fanless and don’t have a large rectifier in the wiring harness.

Has anyone heard of them or have info about using them in a sled? I don’t like the idea of having a fan so these appeal to me, but I am wondering about heat.

Thanks.

Gotta be careful as most all Beamtechs I tried don't have adjustable blades. I tried those and sent them back.

Only one beamtech I know of has the adjustable blade. Its the 10000 lumen.

Same thing happened to me, go with the 10000 lumens, they look great

Perfect timing!! I tried to install my V4 H13 beamtechs on my Mach last night. The chips are not vertical when installed they are probably 30 degrees off. So for those of you that have installed the V4 please let us know if your chips are vertical and if there is a way to adjust them because a quick look last night I did not see an adjustment. Getting ready to order the S1 version but cannot send back the V4 as I have had them sitting in the shop waiting for the Mach for a good while...

If you ride in the snow dust, in very cold conditions, you will need fanless, otherwise 99% of the time you will be good to go with any of them. These also 100% fit and are adjustable, (makes it more than 1 set adjustable ;) ). Don't drop the adjustment screw on the floor, it is the tiniest screw known to man.

I'm not sure about that Mark. I've had fanned Beamtechs in my sleds since 2016 or maybe 17 (Can't remember) and have never had a problem. Have certainly ridden in tons of snowdust, especially on the Quebec trails, glovebox full of snow but never any issues with the LED's.

I rode 2800 miles directly in snowdust with my Fan Beamtechs, and also close to 5000 miles on previous DOO with same beamtechs, not a hickup. Im sure its possible but I have never seen this much snow dust INSIDE a headlight housing. Seems to me it would take alot of dust getting inside to cause this to happen.

Anything is possible i guess but the huge amount of guys here running the fanned type 10000 lumen and have not read one fan issue.

I didnt want the 8000 lumen as those are older units before the 10000 came out. At least that was what Beamtech told me when I spoke with them about adjustable blades, so I took them off the list as they are not as bright.

Yeah there are older beamtechs that had adjustment. I guess to clarify, I was told by beamtech the ones that are adjustable are the ones I have been using, and no other current models have the screws. But it does seem there are some older models, and was told anything older would be below the 10k lumens in brightness. That was how the call started, wanting brighter(more lumens) then 10k and so was pointing me to newer models of 12k but they are NON adjusting.

Hope that helps to clarify.
