Be interested in hearing what people are getting for gas millage On the Expedition 900 Ace wt .

Thinking about getting a new machine and debating on the Expedition 900 Ace wt Or the Sport 900 Ace.

If fuel is your only concern then go with the Gen4 Expo WT, the ride and handling is much improved plus you get 2speed trans, easily removed passenger seat, rear hand warmers, huge rack, storage under the seat, 20” track and 7.4 skis, mirrors. Only $1400 more then the sport, Brp is definitely making more profit on the Sport version and the Turbo that adds $2600!

Fuel It not the only concern but a big one as I ride about 8000km a winter. Have been doing a lot of reading on them, also on the the new gear box.

Is there much of a different in fuel between the Expedition 900 Ace wt and the sport 900 ace?

Will be comparing fuel milage in the near future with my Expo WT and other 900 sports.
Only have a few kms on it yet so still a while till out of breakin mode.
I expect at most a liter or 2 per tank difference, the trans works like a conventional chaincase, no slop in the gears as you roll on and off throttle.
Feels like a big improvement but will hold judgment on the electric reverse till i see 10000kms trouble free.
Rather have manual reverse but i guess for what ever reason brp though this is better.

It will come down to what u are using sled for.. if towing a lot and deep snow you will burn more fuel, but so does every other sled. trail riding the 900 ace is pretty much as good as it gets.. I would think that the difference in the sport and the widetrack would not be a whole lot of difference, and IMO u get a lot more sled for the dollars you are spending

I simply can't imagine that the difference in fuel consumption between two 900 ACE sleds would be enough to worry about.

If you've made up your mind that you want a 900, you're on the right track. Now just pick the features that will best suit your needs and go with an Expedition Sport, an Expedition WT or SWT, or maybe a Skandic. Can't really go wrong with any of those sleds.

I know the fuel millage depends on the how you use the sled. when pulling sled or breaking trails in deep snow you will burn mush more gas . Right now with my yamaha xtx viper on good hard pack trails in get around 18 mpg imp (15mpg us) or a little better at ave speed of about 60 to 70kmh. would like to better that and able to take more gear.

Not worried about the Electrical reverse I have never had a problem with mine, have 9000km sled and 19000 on the one before that without a problem.

I will add I'm not impressed the G4 WTs have a smaller tank. I can't go out for the day without spare gas anymore.
Which WT is this CG, i see they have a 42L tanks on the wt expeditions?
My LE the gas trips empty with 14L left in the tank, it sure could take the fun out of a day trip seeing that orange icon flicker on that's for sure!

In deep snow we got 173kms out of 43 litres on 600R/850 G4 20 wides. Don't get me wrong it was fun but those engines eat gas when they are run hard. The turbo will also be hungry I suspect. We didn't have to carry gas on the same routes on the XUs with similar engines. However they had less power.

The 16" tracks have a 36L tank, the WT's 42L

Ya there's no way around it, more power equals more gas when at "full throttle"

My 2020 900ACE WT gets approx 190km before the fuel light comes on. I have gone to 230km with the light on and was only able to put 26 litres of gas in, which tells me I had a good 1/3 of a tank left but the dang light plays on my mind even though I know I am good for a while yet.

The gauge tells me I am burning 15L / 100km (2-up trail riding) so if my math is correct I should be good for 300 km before running out.

My 2020 Expedition SE 900 Ace turbo stopped after 241,3km today.
I filled it up and the average consumption was 16,12 liters/100km or ~18mpg.
I'm happy with that.

80km of the 241 I was pulling a load of approx 250kg.

Pretty similar to the numbers I'm seeing. I don't know how some of these folks get the mileage they do out of them. 43 liters sounds like you actually got the 11.1 gallon fuel capacity to fit? I've heard that it won't actually draw that much, like maybe only 10 gallons in reality. I was happy to go to this from my narrow G4 last year with the 9.5 gallon tank but disappointed to find that the 11.1 gallons might not be true, and also that the fuel light inexplicably comes on when you have as much as 4 gallons still in the tank? Also my fuel mpg stat is totally bogus. I reset it on Saturday and rode 103 miles on one tank and it says I was getting 1.5 MPG. Fuel light came on around 75 miles, and I hadn't run out yet.
