Only the best! Good at -40 and colder and custom made in any length. Imported from many miles away, I imagine he'll comment if he has more available..... Those are the only bungees I use. Everything else is NRS straps and ratchet straps. Ratchet straps are handy for a lot of sled gear, I go to AIH and buy a couple four packs of the cheaper ones, then cut them down to about 4' and melt and knot the ends. Perfect for action packers in a sled.

I will agree with the assessment of those bungees , I've secured some rediculous wood loads to my ATV with them . I'm in the market for a few more myself , I managed to lose one somewhere .

I heard rumours about the fairy tale manufacturing facility in the far north BUT I've yet to receive my wish list :)))

I have had a couple of those fabled cold weather bungees for a little while now. Best I have seen for what I want/need them for. Others that I have shown them to agree on the quality of materials and construction. Good length of stretch and a strong return pull to keep things in place. I haven't exposed them to any real cold weather yet, but I have been told they are made with a material designed for extreme cold. The hooks are great as well and as far as I know available in two sizes. I honestly wouldn't spend my money on any other.

How is the bungee cord fastened back onto itself on each end? What sizes and how does one buy a few? Looks to be what I need to use on my moose hunts.
Also are the hooks pretty stout? I have a love/hate relationship with bungees nowadays, about 10 years ago I was throwing chains on a tractor I was driving and the chain holder was too low so the company I was working for answer to the problem to keep chains from dragging when going down the road was a couple bungees wrapped tight around the hanging mess.
I pulled tight enough that the hook straightened out and came loose on the back side, direct hit to the right eye. Lost vision almost immediately as it was ruptured. Laser surgery and 2 months wearing a patch, a couple years of flashers in my perifial but now just a floater that I don't even notice anymore. I was lucky...
My Wife still calls me Captain Bungee because I use so many on our trips but I don't touch them without safety glasses on! So....strong hooks on them babies? I like the looks of tbem.

To answer some questions,:

The cord is the SnoBunje cord

The crimp is a hog ring, very stout

The heat shrink is double wall HD, used for HV work mostly

The hooks are 3/16" dia galvanized steel (chain link fence wire)

The hooks are also available in SS!

Hooks can be full size or 3/4 size, both very stout

Drop me a PM for pricing if you'd like a few, I generally make them in 24/36/48/96" lengths. Please be advised that I make these for my purposes, I am not a business nor am I trying to be a retailer.

You will love them if you already appreciate the usefulness of a bungee cord.

Labroador Boy - what diamenter shock cord are you using? Is SnoBunjee cord something special? or regular rubber shock chord covered with nylon sleeve? I've found regular shock chord up to 3/4 inch diameter in bulk and wondering if that is similar to what you use. All I can find in search of SnoBunjee is the tool used to pull out snowmobiles. And they want about $40 for a 6 foot piece of it. Thanks.

I doubt if any maker will give the properties of any bungee cords they sell, I would just try one of those 3/4" cords you found. They might work even better.
