I haven't seen one in person yet but I am also curious about how these work. I have only wore moto x helmet and goggles forever because they work but this helmet gives me the option and I'm due for a new helmet anyway.

No personal experience with Scorpion helmets but it states both the dual pane faceshield and the inner sun-shield uses their Everclear No-fog technology which seems to work.

Other than not being able to use goggles with the faceshield like some other lids, this should become a hot seller for Castle.

• KwikFit® Cheek Pads
• Breathbox and Chin Curtain included
• Easy-Use Flip-up Chin Bar
• Helmet can be used with or without visor

Was told the helmet weighs 1780 grams. 3.5lbs. To be honest I don't know if that is good or bad.

Looked at this helmet at a few different booths at the Milwaukee show, nice helmet.

Found online that the weight of a medium is claimed to be 3 lbs/13oz.
Didn't feel too bad weight-wise for a modular helmet, maybe lighter than some standard helmets.

Fit & finish is very good, as it is made by Scorpion Helmets.

I would like to see them improve the access of the release lever under the chinbar with the chin curtain in place-for me with a glove on, I was unable to operate the release, with a glove off-no problem.

The slide lever for the inner sunshield could be a bit larger to also use more easily with gloves on.

Those are minor things, by no means deal-breakers and I will most likely be ordering one.

I looked at many helmets of this style but the others weren't of the modular design, and the build quality was evident. Some faceshields on the others didn't open easy, only the Zoan brand also had an inner sunshield and the GMax felt very heavy. (Should have had a scale to compare actual weights.)

Remember who was selling them?
Would like to try one on.
iirc, They were right across the isle to the big 509 booth. They had a bunch of signs saying "$25 off helmet/goggle combo, get free sunglasses". Smaller-ish booth size.

Wonder if there is much difference between this one and the snow version. I live an hour from philly where revzilla has their showroom. Might have to stop by and see if they have one to check out. Looks like a nice helmet. I need something better then my hjc. It's a cold helmet.
Other than available colors & graphics, the snow version will come with either a regular dual-pane or electric clear face shield & yellow/amber sun shield and breathbox & "snow" version chin curtain.

The Scorpion Cycle version has the standard shield, smoke-colored sun shield and a simple chin curtain, which I think will actually be better than the chin curtain in the Castle lid.

My plans are to go with a Scorpion Exo AT950, add a dual pane shield & breathbox, which should be available soon I am told.

I tried on a lot of helmets at the show and ended up with the electric version of this helmet. I have a Scorpion EXO 700 that I've been using for the last 7-8 seasons and I'm still on the original electric shield. Good quality helmet but I wanted to try a modular. The fact that it can be used with goggles is simply a plus, but after checking out the G-Max, Bell and others, there was no comparison on the quality.

Only bummer is that I had to order one to get the graphics version with the electric shield as they are "on the boat" and won't arrive for a couple of weeks. Up North Sports did a super deal as they will ship directly to my house and they gave me a 10% discount to boot. It's ok though as the new radio from Collett should arrive about the same time. That's another story...

Why would you wear goggles on underneath a full face shield? Just to get a lens tint or something?
With that type of helmet I would think it would be an asset to open the shield to de fog and still have goggles to continue going. This helmet has a sun visor and an electric shield so I would see no use for goggles also.

Looks pretty cool, but I read you can't wear goggles with the shield on, and I know others you can. I do like the sun shield though. It'd be interesting to see if it was prone to fogging without the electric shield.
Correct, that you cannot wear goggles AND the faceshield at the same time like other helmets, like the GMax brand.

I don't wear goggles and like the build quality of the Scorpion/Castle lid over the others, and the modular flip feature.

With Scorpion's Everclear anti-fog coating on both the faceshield and inner sun shield, hope it's not prone to fogging. Other option is to get either their electric shield or pinlock compatible shield.
