Let me guess , you have gained 10% more mpg , suddenly pull more rpm with the same clutching , have dropped 6 jet sizes and suddenly beat sleds you never used to. Once the BM soaked into the metal(something that is virtually impossible) your sled was like a new sled. You also bought the bondi airbox and the slp bolton kit and and are now making around 185 hp in a 800r.
You are the one they are talking about when they say there is one born every day. There is NOTHING special about BM other than the hype. As a matter of fact , due to the BS they used to spout , it will be the last oil i ever buy. sj
Easy Trigger!!
First off, I have a bone stock trail converted 440 MXZx and am always looking for ways to gain fuel economy. I want to run it after a friend of mine did the treatment and used it in his SDI and showed a gain of 4 miles per gallon! Said it felt like it was more powerful, but that was only seat of pants. I probably won't because I can barely afford to run the cheapest stuff I can find in any gas station.
I think a lot of you don't have the patience to do things right. So, you half-a$$ it and then blame the manufacturer for selling a "misrepresented" product. Just look at all of the guys talking bad about clutch kits when they run old fuel or a ton of aftermarket stuff without the proper setup.
Don't jump my butt, I'm just going by what I saw.

Blue Marble oil is SNAKE OIL with lots of promises and claims that are full of crap! I used it 4 years ago for a full season. There were no gains in MPG or performance. My Power valves were sticking all the time and the engine seized towards the end of the season. The next season I switched to Doo XPS semi synthetic oil and never had to clean My power valves again!! Go figure!! I wouldn't run Blue Marble in My weedwacker much less one of My sleds. Besides I have a 4 stroke Yammie and a Doo 4 stroke on the way so I'm thinking there won't be much need for 2 stroke oil in My garage next year. I will only have one two stroke left and thats a spare sled!

My experience with BM has been poor. The oil offers very little protection. I have pistons and rings to prove it, but proof is not really what the "BM experience" is all about. So I won't bother presenting the pictures.

If it helps the guy that originally asked the question: "Is BM any good?"....put it this way, two of the best racers on our snow-x circuit receive BM oil free. After two seasons of poor protection, both now use other oils (and pay for them).

Hope this helps you make the decision that is right for you.

I've put on over 18,000 miles on Ski-Doo's since 2001 using nothing but Ski-Doo oil with no engine issues...zero. What's wrong with Ski-Doo oil???????? BTW, I'd like to see the dyno sheet with a 4 hp gain with BM (or should I say...BS?).

Funny you would mention a weedwacker - I did run it in my WeedEater and it seized before 1 gallon of BM premix was used. Originally, bought it to use in my KDX220 dirt bike, but someone I knew seized a YZ250, and told me it was soon after switching to BM, so I thought it would be safe to use it up in the WeedEater instead.

Who knows if it was the oil in either case, but BM is just plain mineral oil with some additive. In the owners manual for my Gas Gas 2-stroke it says, "if using synthetic mix at 50:1, if using mineral oil mix at 30:1. Clearly mineral oil is not up to synthetic in their eyes.

Been using Blue Marble in my last 5 sleds. Absolutely rocks! Every dealer I've taken my sleds to for exhaust valve cleaning have told me to keep using what I'm using. They did not even know what I was using. I have had NO breakdowns or problems. I now have 5.2 k on my '04 600 SDI and no plug fouling problems since changing from Doo oil (which by the way burns my wife's eye's following me).

Anytime you talk oil you will have some bad-mouthing your choice. I am telling you what I experienced in my last 5 sleds, Arctic Cats and Ski-Doos with power valves. Total mileage ran about 15,000 trouble free miles.

Here I thought BM meant "bowel movement".
Blue Marble is vegetable oil with additives.........take your chances.
I've put 10,000 miles on three Skidoos using Amsoil Interceptor Synthetic without issues.......never a dirty rave valve either.

Read on DTR my own stock XLT600 blue marble vs polaris injector oil first dyno tested stock pulled off the dyno, then treated as recommended by BM then trail ridden, then back on the dyno with BM oil, dyno tested again then BM drained out switched back to polaris oil dyno tested again. There IS a difference on my sled.
Got to love these teasers.. heh-heh, now all they have to do is subscribe and all would know the ABA results...Blue Marble test results! This was a particularly good test since it was an ABA test and not just an AB test. Did the horsepower go up or down??? hmmmm

Did Enron stock go up or down???
