I haven't hear of any electrical issues with the Sii from all the threads I've read, thats why I went with them. When I ordered my sled I asked if LED lights were an option and one of the guys over the counter said if you install the LED after markets they could cause

some interference..so far so good...looking for a piece of wood to knock on..lol

 

Anyone have any issues with fouling plugs and/or starting issues with the alpha Sii lights?

I see some of the other ballasts and lamps could be causing issues with ecm and electrical interference.

 

Tried mine out for the first time and they are awesome, can't believe the difference to stock bulbs. I did notice that the bottom of my glove box is warm..not sure if thats from the engine heat or the drivers for the lights..anyone notice this or am I overthinking it

 

From a durability standpoint yes! My 2's had a driver fail? 3's seem better and no issues in 550 miles so far. As for the bright light aspect I definitely like the 3's but I have a bud that has Beamtech's in his and we're hard pressed to tell difference other than his wallet has left over cash vs what I spent for 3's???? seriously we both like them both.

 

I took my Alpha Gen 2's out and installed Alpha Gen 3's..they seem very bright but need snow to test! Mother nature has NOT been cooperating.

I have the Gen 2's was thinking about switching to the 3's. have you had the chance to try them yet?? wondering if its worth swapping

With the led's in 3 and 9 o'clock position, where is the power wire at?

I want to say somewhere around 4-5 o'clock. So the right side can be a little tight. It fits just fine though.

Mine went in fairly easy, I was just alittle curious about the fit. I used 2 way tape as in the conversation here not sure if that will hold tho..I couldn't figure out where to tie wrap them to and still make sure the glove box went

in.

 

Just ordered my second set of bulbs from SII. My 2016 XS has a set and they are super, so I just ordered a set for my 2019 G4.

I talked about trying the silverstar bulbs but I decided to just get what works instead of screwing around with other options.

Someone posted a question about cost of these bulbs. Shipped to my house $167.00 US

 

Mine went in without issue and fit great. Couldn't be happier. Great light output, and OK pattern. I think its probably the best pattern we can expect from a LED bulb in a Halogen lens.

I had to adjust mine up at first, but looking back my rear preload was set higher at the time.

 

Did anyone notice that the SII lights don’t fit as snug as the factory bulbs? Is that an issue ?

No I marked the old low and high marks on the wall and the height didn't change at all only the brightness

Mine seem brighter at 9 o'clock than 3 o'clock. Did I install them wrong? Maybe they are still in the wrong time zone.

 

For those that have the beamtech LED's (or the Sii's for that matter), are they able to melt the snow and ice from the lens?

Can you index the H4 bulbs. A couple people in the group have the older style bulbs (H4). Has any one installed them?

I'm not familiar with the Sii H4 but I'd be very surprised if you couldn't index them.
