88 gas vs 87 gas?

I see sheetz has 88 gas with 15 percent E junk in it for 3.99 for this upcoming weekend only. I am pretty sure that’s the stuff I ran out west “one” time and only got half the mileage. So is my thinking wrong? If you fill up with 88 E15 it will take 1.5 fill ups to get the same distance with 87 E10 so you’re actually spending more. Am I correct in this thinking?

Yes. Newer sleds claim to run up to 20%. I run non ethanol.

I was only referring to cars and trucks. Like I said I was pulling a trailer out west with a 2015 f250 and I dropped to 7 mpg vs my normal 10.5 when I used the stuff and I was flatland with no wind. since I’ll only be driving truck and no pulling I’ll give it shot. It’s $32 saving. Sheetz is only offending it starting today till the 4th. PA, OH, NY I think.
