rode with a buddy of mine this weekend who won a polaris dragon, its a very good motor,we were at tip up and running sleds on the lake it held up its end very well, and for those guys that bought F1000 i feel sorry for them, its not that fast,my little stroker 600 had no problem with that sled and neither did the dragon, power to weight ratio is still the ticket, hope evrryone has got out to ride by now that was my first ride just to work the dust off.

I raced against a new f1000 with porting Y pipe timing key, with my very poorly clutched 800X i just threw in 2 go riding alittle bit, and he only took me by about 3 sleds, 4 right out of the hole, granite he did not have his boondocker hooked up though, if i had my S8X kit in it would have been great for me. I took the sled for a ride and it has alot of torque and power down low but fell on its face up on top, it dynoed the other day at 191 H.P with the boondocker hooked up with stock pipe.

I hear you on the Dragon, they are a sweet sled. I have been looking at them realy close, both the 600 ho and the 700 are fast little sleds, those Walker Evans shockes realy look trick also. All round good sled, glad to see Polaris nail it on there motors. Road with one Yesturday nice machine.

Buddy has the Dragon and put a 136" on it and changed seat used on the IQ. Rode it a bit; sled rocks and handling is solid. Has very good instrumentation. Still don't like the steering as seem to have to over steer bars to get to turn. Gas mileage was similar to my 600 SDI until dealer did an update to computer now it consumes quite a bit more fuel.

Seriously, I'm glad to see it. Finally coming out of the woods. The sled and motor has to prove itself still and I hope they get rid of the funky dual headlight with a wart, but other than that looks good to me. I wonder what they'll do in a year or two. Without question, competition is good. Keeps those on top of the hill to work a little harder to keep their customers(customer service BRP).

Very nice sled those Dragon's...they'll run neck and neck with an F7...it's awesome to see tyhe 700 class exciting again. Here's a buddies Dragon running hard against an F7 from last weekend. That Dragon took the 700 improved class. Dial them in and they are fast.

Here's another Dragon from the same races...running hard.....

Todd:

Let me know when you want to run that pro-stock 600 (or 800) thru the trails with my F-1000, it's not that fast so you should have no problem. I mean you will probably be feeling sorry for me and all. Hell, my a-arms may fall off...however I really doubt you stand a chance. I don't get off on lake racing, but bring it to the trail for a run. PS - get me or Mark that Dynamo cam back.

Love, Eric

I rode my buddy's Dragon this weekend and I think Polaris might have built a better Rev. I am very impressed with the power and transfer at low and midrange. Did not get a chance to ride it over many bumps but it handles flatter than my Rev. I am going to get a 136" something next year, and it sounds like Polaris wil have one. It might be a tough choice between a proven chassis(Polaris) or the unproven REV II Renegade.

I see you're on an '04. I had an '04 and now have an '06 500SS. The SC4 is everything Doo says it is. Don't compare the transfer of your '04 (none, if it was like mine) to the SC4. I was a huge fan of the SC3, but the SC4 is better in every way - a lot better IMO.

As for the Dragon, credit where it's due.

The only thing Poo did wrong on that sled was make it pre-season only. Well, that and the chaincase is still in the footwell.

my former boss has one, brand new, didn't have a problem with the common fouling plug issue that everyone is having, maybe he got a good one, or maybe cause he was running 50/50 oil fuel, other then that, i didn't get a chance to ride it, but my dad with his new 800 Blizzard was right there with him, but he doesn't have the required 10 hours on the sled to get it out of break in mode, so once we get 10 hours on it, we will line em up and see what happens! i will keep you guys posted

My buddy got to ride his dragon this weekend on our trip to Quebec. Pretty fast, they instantly fell in love with it, they were coming off of 600 fusions. We also had two new IQ's and they ran strong as well. My doo blew on the trip, and with only having 700 miles on it, its got me sceptical. It's got me thinking of going to Polaris......................who knows

I sold my 04 600ho Rev and I now ride a dragon. It is just like any other new sled it has some bugs to be worked out. I have seen 104-106 on the speedo and I am 225lbs. I have raced some 800 Revs I have won some and lost some usually the results are a sled length either way. It will hang with stock firecats but I have not beat any, the race was tight ski to ski. As far as the plug fouling I have only fouled three plugs within the first 150 miles. But I switched from champions to NGK andI have not had any problems almost 400 miles now. The plugs are nice and brown. The ride is excellent, the shock package works awesome and it soaks up the bumps just like a REV. I have had to work on cornering, but I had to work on that with my REV (product of a new sled). The only thing that stinks is there is no performance parts because the sled is so new. By the way the appendix that tells me all of my specs says "700ho SDI" not cleanfire. Hope that gives you guys a good review
