2024 Renegade Enduro Air-Ride Failures

I have a 2024 Renegade Enduro 900R, it is in the shop for the 2nd time in 200 km's with a rear suspension fault. In both cases, the air-ride hose fitting snapped off at the shock.

The dealer is now replacing the hose with a longer one from an Expedition.

Has anyone ever heard of this?

I have a couple more trips planned in Quebec upcoming, and am concerned.

I have an old GSX-SE 1200 with air ride. I too had the air hose snap off at the shock once. There was a huge ice ball on the hose. Since then I've been spraying silicone on the hose and shock before riding and the problem has never occured again. Sled currently has over 23,000mi. That may not be your issue but it won't hurt to keep ice from forming on the air line and shock. I wish BRP had used a braided line instead of a rubber hose

The exact same thing happened to me. I realized after a big bump that I had no air ride shock. A huge ball of ice/snow had formed on the air hose causing the fitting to break. I rode 300 miles with the air ride on '1'. A rough ride but made it back. Changed the fitting myself. Removed shock which was easiest and used an easy out to remove broken fitting.

Good idea on the silicone. I'm going to check often for possible build up and break it with the plastic hammer I carry.

There was a mounting defect on the assembly line on my GT XS 1200 back in the time. As we know, the idlers have a stagger mounting style side to side and in the case of a air assist suspension, the idler of the air supply hose must be in the forward position. If not, the hose was touching the wheel. An inch is an inch... when the rear collapse even if there are no direct interference with the RmotionX like it was the case with the Rmotion, it may make a difference with ice buildup. I know... i'm speaking of GT. Check if this applies to Enduro.

I had a huge ball of ice build up on mine a couple of days ago and it ruined my trip as it snapped the fitting going into the shock. I'm waiting on a replacement fitting. For such a crucial part of the machine it's very poor to be constantly concerned about it, I had a few other times this winter where I had the exclamation on the dash and shock wouldn't change settings.

How many people remove the air ride shock and go to a standard shock? I'm considering this if I get any more issues as I don't want the constant worry and to be stuck far from home riding on only the rear springs which the dealer said happens when the air ride gives out.
