Hi there i have a 2002 mxz i am trying to make into a water skipper.I have every thing done to it now and dont have spark.I had know spark to it when i tore the engine down to put my taps in.I thought it was a bad connection on my cdi box.so go to start it ran 5 seconds and stopped.checked ohms on my stator and they finally gave me know reading.So i ored a stator from rm stator.Put it in tonight.Sled started right up stalled after 30 seconds.no spark.Checked the ohms on stator and pickups and they were good.I changed spark plugs and coils.Still nothing.The harness that goes up to the head lights is gone and the one to the handle bars are to.I checked the dess key changed the post.stillnothing.only thing i can think of is the mpem box has went on it.I looked through out the forum and people are saying to check the mpem ground.Where would that be.Is there a way to check the mpem box?I might be able to get a hold of a 2000 700 mpem box but a plug in Is different.It has know rer.Would the pickup still work if i change and put the other plug in on mine not using the rer pick up.Any idea guys.Thanks.I am sorry for the long post

Thanks.I checked my stator out some more tonight.The black wire and the red wire has 18 ohms.The black/red and the red also has 18.I thought the red wire and the black ground shouldnt have any value?thanks Wondering if my new stator is know good.Thanks again
could have burned it up. i would take your computer to a doo dealer and see if they can test it
no idea to tell u the truth. seems like a buddy of mine got a stator a last year and had to return it cause it was bad. i will send this link to him
I was talking to a tech at rm stator yesterday and he told me to send it back to them.Now another week before i get to try the sled.Thanks
Thanks guys i got it going.I got another stator off a friend, that was the problem.the new stator was bad
