Buy with standard track, negotiate with dealer a price for them to keep it, or take it and sell it yourself, Install Ice Storm 1.5 if you want a pre studded track. Have a track worth running, be happy, ride happy, done

Go for the 1.5" I.R.

 

I was/am leaning towards the 1.5. Is there any issues with that track pushing? I was told by my dealer that he's had customers take off their 1.5's and put on 1.25's because their sleds would push. Thanks for the replies, l greatly appreciate it!

Both tracks can't compare to real studs.....I'll not ever have a pre studded tack again....And I have the 1.5 IR....

 

neither! Take cheap track, and swap for good track.

 

I ride a 2023 Blizzard 850 and have the 1.25IR. It works well most of the time, but because of the extra power, I think the 1.5IR would be better for this engine. If the 1.5 had been offered for the Blizzard last year, I would have chosen it instead.

 

1.5 IR for sure. That's what I've got in my 129 850 and it's an absolute animal, nothing else I'd rather have for my riding style. I do have better front skis, and the sled performs - IMO - exceptionally well. A track only pushes if the skis don't balance it, but with the shorter track length you won't have much issue.

I can't imagine 1/4" is going to create a major push. If guys were complaning about it, I would think it was a setup issue and could be corrected by changing the setup before the track.

With the 850 you are probably better off with that extra 1/4".

 

1.5" IR between the two for sure.

If you don't care about top speed get the 1.5
