So I helped a fella out with his carbides at the local watering hole. This is what was left. I think it still had some miles left in it. I’ve always used Woodys carbide. Another guy there said Woodys are junk. They wear out too fast. What are others opinions?

I used Woodys for 11 years on my REV here in Ontario. Never had an issue & kept an eye on them.

I wouldnt hesitate to use them in the future. BRP carries their product. Yes, price plays into it, but quality would as well.

The guy that spoke up at the watering hole probably is an SME (subject matter expert).

That reminds me of pics posted on DooTalk by another member. A pair of Pilot TS blades that were destroyed. He was trying to blame the BRP. The biggest shock was that the rider said that the RH blade was the worse for wear. That makes no sense what so ever.

Been running their trail blazers for years, usually getting 5000km/s out of them a season on average. Tried the mavericks this year and got 500 kms on them before they were ruined. Trying the ace series now.

I’ve ran a few different styles of Woodys through the years. As of late I’m running Navigators with Mavericks carbides. To me, I’m pretty satisfied with the combo. My first set of Mavericks time of death this year was after 800 miles, but they saw lots of stones. Hopefully I get a better run out of my 2nd set, obviously conditions matter.

Exactly. Not to mention how much road running you have to do.

I have had good luck with woodys and stud boy. Sounds like snow studs are worth a shot also.
