Woody's carbides for Pilot ski's

Did anyone use woody's carbides for the pilots last winter?
I just got a set in that I ordered. They are on square bar (not real thick) and they have just hard weld in the front. No carbide wear tabs. (both are different than what the catalogue said)
Does the hardweld hold up as good as the carbide?
Is the square bar good?

Any comments would be appreciated.

not even close... !

but I am sure they will work out ok, assuming we get to ride on ice and snow and not dirt and paved roads like much of last season!
