Hi All
I have a bud at work who is looking for a sled to get him into his cottage this winter. He has to go 8 kms from the road and the snow is somtimes very deep. I suggested a tundra with a longtrack And to maybe upgrade the track. I had a old citation 3500 that was good in the deep stuff. What do you think is the best sled for this ?
Thanks Barry

Tundra would be a great deep snow work sled, if he is looking to work and play, look into a Summit, will handle the deep, and will be an excellant sled to go out and Play in the deep stuff too

I would suggest a Summit High Mark X 1000, it will get him through the deep snow with ease.
-Good luck

Yeah the Summit High Mark X 1000 is going to get him back to his cabin, but I don't know how much money he wants to pay. And if he isn't going to be riding for recreation a lot I wouldn't recommend that sled.

When you say that the snow gets deep...how deep?

I think that a tundra is going to be his best bet unless he wants it for recreation more. Even then I think that something smaller than a 1000 would be better because of the weight factor.

I would also suggest the tundra 300f if he plans on using it to get to his camp or to do work with , its great in the deep stuff and in narrow trails , lightwight , good for towing a small trailer , gets good fuel mileage is cheap to insure and sells for a good price but if he's got a need for speed and power he better look somwhere else ( maybee the new tundra 800 )
Expedition Sport all the way...25-30 mpg and quiet, reliable 4 stroke, two person capable and plenty of power to pull a sled behind. Not tomention light enough to wadw through the deep stuff too and play around when your done working. It is an awsome sled. Think I just talked myself in to one too!

How about a Summit 550 Fan?? It'd be able to float through the deep stuff just like the Tundra, but also add some more power to play a little without breaking the bank.

Hi All
Thank you very much for all the great replys. His needs are to get him in 8kms in deep trails snow and to do some work around the cabin so.. It looks like the TRUNDRA is the way to go Thanks again Barry
