I’ve had carpal tunnel surgery on one hand and the other needs it. The typical throttle his hard for me due to just hanging on with my fingers while thumb is stretching back. Thinking being able to hang on with my thumb and just utilize my pointer finger will be easier on my hand and easier to hang on over wheelies and jumps. Who has experience with it?

Don't have any experience with the Munster Finger Throttle, but my '16 1200 with the ITC throttle is a game changer for me. Before I was riding with wrist guards to keep my hand from falling asleep while riding. The ITC throttle is "lighter" and doesn't take as much pressure to use. I also found that i can move the throttle around, finding the most comfortable position to ride with and/or switching up the position (including changing to a finger throttle). It's such a game changer that i don't have to wear a wrist guard anymore...

…..also thinking being able to wrap the thumb and hanging on with full palm equals a warmer hand?

I installed the Munster finger throttle and found it much better controlling the throttle in bumpy rough twisting conditions. There are various ways you can use your fingers to operate thus relieving cramps and fatigue. This is a well designed quality product and not too difficult to install. The Molex plug rework for the heater is a little tricky but with patience it is dooable.

I might actually order one for my son for safety reasons. Low visibility and he hit a bump he wasn’t anticipating. Pushed him forward and inadvertently smashed the throttle. Caused a roll over and crash. Wouldn’t have happened with a finger throttle.

I just placed an order. Done riding for the season I think. Won’t be able to test until next season. 😢

I have a throttle that swings around to be both a finger throttle and plain thumb. I use the finger throttle some days when we are putting up big mileage but honestly I find it a little more dangerous. Bumps cause me to give more throttle. I would never think about using it off trail, never.
It’s actually the opposite
Way more in control off trail in powder
Very finicky on trail in bumps

I have a munster finger throttle on my 2015 600 renegade, first experience with a finger throttle was riding a friends 900 ace, by the end of the day it was finger position all the time, not that big of a deal getting used to ,ride motorcycles with 2 fingers covering the front brake lever. I use my middle finger to move the lever. get the guard ,enables use of handlebar gauntlets.high quality product, would never go back to thumb throttle

I’m all prepped and ready. Took my thumb throttle off today. Looks like my Munster shipped. Will be a 5 minute install now. Thinking about their kill switch now. 😬

I am new to the sport. I purchased a 2020 600r Adrenaline earlier this year. Coming from the sport of mtbing, I like the feel of using my index finger as the throttle. As that was my brake finger on the mtb. Plus having the thumb on the bar gave me more strength to hang on. So I was able to rotate the stock throttle 180 degrees. If I do not like it when the snow flies I can easily loosen the single bolt and rotate back 180 to stock location. As for the wires, nothing is in the way or pinched.

Just so you are aware, the Munster finger throttle lever is a different shape and size compared to the thumb throttle. If you like the thumb throttle rotated 180 out, then go for Munster. It is a better experience as it is designed to be pulled with the index finger versus a lever pushed by the thumb and palm. I use the Munster on my Rave and am a big fan of it.
