Ok here's more info------both have reverse & still have the beaver tail

03 Rev 600HO -

Rings done at 1600 miles (has paperwork), newer track - not studded, basically all stock, really clean!

03 Rev 800 -

sled was rolled-over and repaired....items repaired were front bumper, hood, handle bars, windshield, dash, guage bezel, and one shock. The "flying nun" was also repaired. Has a small crack the one of the side panels. Pretty clean!

980 miles ago the following were added; Cudney Pistons, Boysen power RADs, return spring on oil pump, 144 1.375 Golddiggers, new carbides, new belt (200 miles)

I ride mostly trails in the UP and the ocassional lake.

thanks in advance!

I really like the 800 more, but with it being a repaired sled I am not sure iif I should buy it.

Any ideas on what to do?

Would you be scared of the repairs done?

tough call there slick.......depends on if you trust who you are buying them from......as to how they were taken care of.....they'll both get to 80 mph pretty fast, after that who cares......they are gonna be a better ride than the 583....
good luck

Well Slick the 800 look's like it has more goodies on it and as the last question you asked i'd say it's a no brainer!
new details listed about each sled.....

thanks!!
Dee's marine has a 03 800 with 783 miles.looks like brand new.$4000 bucks.I would buy that for 500 more myself.
Rich
I would go for the 600HO; much smoother better handling sled. You already know the 800 was abused.
Im just going to say the rev 600 HO because i have one....
Would I disappointed with the power of the 600HO?

Not if you are coming from a 96 583.

And if you were (don't think you will be); you can pick up a head and set of 700 cylinders.. send them off to RKT or BJ and get them ported and have plenty of power.. when it is time to put new pistons and rings in...
I have ridden the 96 FZ for 2 years, and the power is fine with me. I have also rode an 02 MXZ 800, and an 06 Yamaha Apex for a little bit and don't need the power but it's always nice to have.

I like the fact that the guys honest about the 800. And he actually has ridden it for two seasons after the repairs to make sure everything was ok.

The story on the rollover is that the guy was riding in the fog and hit the other side of a deep bank.
no replacement for displacement. You will be on this site in a few months asking how to make the 600 faster and what mods you should do. If the repairs were done well who cares! Personally i would be looking for something with a little less milage though? Good luck.

Good luck trying to find a REV with lower miles!!! They are few and far between. REV= a lot of miles. So be it. Miles are not a problem. Get the 8

Get the 800 My previous sled was a 95 F Z 583 and this 600 is a friggen dog compared to it. TH eold sled would outpull this things to 60 in a heartbeat after that this 600 is better but for corner to corner trail this thing blows compared to the old 583 Of course the 583 was ported dyno port exh. and clutched. I also had an M-10 on the 95 with ski spreaders flex ski's with dually's handled like it was on rails no darting ever. It got wrecked so when it was time a for new sled enter the rev. I think with some clutch work different ski's, the rev will be ok just be prepared the rev rides nothing like the old chassis( which is a good thing) but takes some getting used to.
Ok guys I went with a different 800. It's an 03 sport with 3700 miles on it. Looks good, but needs a really good cleaning.
