I am ordering parts for my 500ss to keep indefinitely because the price to mile ratio on these sleds in these winters is insane!

I went with a Polaris XC 850 137 this time around. I couldn't pass up the deal and l've been wanting to try a Polaris for the last few years. The G5 l rode had terrible wind protection which really turned me off plus the fun factor just isn't there for me on the Ski-Doo compared to the Polaris.

After riding Ski-Doo for 22 years, it was time for a change and the shot in the arm that l needed to get me excited once again.

I don't think the Polaris is a "better" sled than a Ski-Doo but sure as heck is a lot more fun and that's what l've been missing...

After much thought and virtual builds, decided to pull the throttle on a Backcountry Adrenaline 600R with a 1.6 Cobra. Might purchase the accessories separately, but for the sake of availability I added the rail reinforcement, skid plate, and USB charger. Forgot to add knee pads and rear bumper.

...would highly recommend the SledTred knee pads... Half price, same coverage, I think they're twice as thick

Congrats fellas on making the jump, I think you will have a new perspective on sledding again. I have 3600mi on my '23 Assault and only 500mi on my Doos and I'm like a little kid going into every weekend can't wait to ride the Polaris. Two of my long time riding buddies are also switching, one buying the boost which now has me thinking about upgrading even though I'm 120% happy with my '23.

Thanks halver. I'll check them out tonight. I'm somewhat surprised there are aftermarket knee pads available, never would have guessed.
I have had the Doo knee pads before I found Sledtread knee pads. Sledtread all the way now. Have had on several sleds now and have never even come close to coming off. They have many colors to choose from also. As much as I like skidoo stuff their knee pads do not even come close to the Sledtread knee pads. You'll never be disappointed, at least I am not.
