I am ordering parts for my 500ss to keep indefinitely because the price to mile ratio on these sleds in these winters is insane!

This is the first time I have done a new sled. Always been riding old junk up until this point. Really not happy with the price, but ordered 2 matching Renegade Adrenaline 900 NA to replace the 97 ZL440 and the 98 Formula z 670 we have been riding.

out the door price per came out to be $14,704 with the 2 year warranty instead of the $750 and the install of the heated visor kit. I am kicking myself for the crazy price, but my aging back can't roll the dice on prices coming down anymore and the old sleds are beyond their usefulness. We will be keeping these sleds for the next 20 years assuming they aren't garbage so I figure I might cry now, but in a few years I won't mind the choice.

I've been hoping prices would crash for a few years now, but I don't think inflation will give out before my back does riding the old stuff. hopefully for the rest of you my bad luck on timing markets results in the crash next week 🤣

Congratulations! For what it’s worth I think it’s the right call. Prices have been shockingly sticky considering the state of the world. That and why put off until tomorrow what you can do today or whatever that expression is. Sooner you start enjoying the new metal the better.

Thankfully I am lucky enough were a few grand isn't life changing anymore, not that a few grand is something to ignore.

Thinking the water injection will be called upon very little while trail riding. Don't think it will build enough heat under most trail riding conditions to warrant it. Maybe long sustained rail bed pulls? Probably something I wouldn't do as I've clipped 4 deer wandering into my path in the last 20 years. Something you don't forget. Hopefully most guys getting one of the new turbos use common sense when riding them. I've got a 23 Freeride turbo R set up for trail riding and lake racing. Also several na 850s. Much easier and safer to ride aggressive trails on the 850 na, come out of the corners, grab a handful of throttle shoot to the next corner. I don't ride the turbo this way. To dangerous. All of our 850s have very aggressive traction. On the turbo, when you come thru the corner, you make damn sure you're lined up straight before you grab the hammer. And if the next corner is very close don't squeeze it very hard. I've owned a lot of fast sleds. If the turbo is hooking good, a person need to use common sense and have a lot of respect for what you're sitting on.
My 2 cents

I'm going back to a 2-stroke after only owning one for one year since 2010 and my first short track since 2003.

l'm 99% sure it's going to be a Polaris this time. The RAS X has made the Ski-Doo's boring to ride compared to the Matryx in my opinion. Is the quality the same? I don't think so but the fun factor is off the charts on the Polaris and l just need something different to get me excited. I put 190 miles on my buddy's 850 Poo Saturday and l've never had so much fun on a sled. The ergonomics, wind protection, power and handling were all outstanding.

My second choice is an 850 129" MX-Z X with the standard gage and a 1.5" IR track. My final decision will be made on March 13th...

my dealer was maxed out on spring orders way before the new line up was announced.
but....I will be looking for a SWT Skandic 900 ACE
Looks like the tight supply and strong demand is continuing. For months now I’ve been expecting the market to turn and prices to moderate. Still not happening where I am even with the short season.

Tire Wheel Automotive tire Hood Vehicle

A simple bolt on linkage and revalve you’ll have now the most fun best riding sled out there.
If the XCR is better in any kind of chop than the XRS then you don't have your XRS set up right or you didn't take it through that many different kinds of chop. The Polaris rear skid can be set up to hand either stutter bumps or G outs but it's not going to handle both. If it's stiff enough to go through the G outs, it's going to be harsh in the stutters. If it's good through the stutters, then it's too soft for the G outs. The Matryx is definitely more fun, weight transfers much better, and is generally easier to corner.

Them, they will be begging me to by a sled in the near future. Show rooms today looked like preseason, not season end..
I was in my dealer the other day. Most sleds I have ever seen on their floor 50+ mix of brands but all new. Must have 20 Blizzards in stock. They are not advertising lower prices online but in the showroom all sleds have signs that say "discounts available see salesperson for details". I did not ask what those discounts were off MSRP but no way this dealer is going to sit on 50+ 2023 sleds at MSRP hoping they sell during off season. Plus by the time people start thinking about next season they would have 2024s on the floor if Doo actually ships at a normal time this year.
