Warning Decals

I bought a set of factory knee pads for my Mach Z but I want to take the french warning decals off of them before I install them. I like the black look. Any sugestions on how I could remove them from the pads with out screwing up the pads themselves?

I used acetone on mine. Worked great, but took some time. You'll definitely need a lot of elbow grease. After wards put on some Armor All and they look great
I used paint thinner, and some elbow grease.

I take those dam lables off everything I buy.

Acetone works the best.

OH, have you tried both on the Ski-doo lables!!
I peeled off the as much of decals as I could, then used Goo-Gone to remove the remaining adhesive. It is a citrus based product available at your local hardware store. You spray or blot it on and let it sit for a few seconds to soften the adhesive then wipe off. You need to repeate several times to get it all off. After you get it all off put a coat of wax on.

I have the warning decals off the sled and the hard surfaces already I'm just working on the knee pads (soft things you put on the sides of the cowel infront of where your knees go when you sit on the sled.

Use the Acetone, it works the best the least amount of work. It took mine off in 10 minutes..Good luck.

DSR decal and sticker remover. You can buy it at any Pep Boys or Advanced auto store for about 5.00 a can. It works great and does not harm the finish on the pads.

Goo-gone works well, though I tend to use way too much when doing it.

My recomendation would be product called "Sticker Off" Works great, used it on every sticker on my race sled.

I use a blow dryer to heat up the decal and then slowly peel it back. It comes off with all the glue and no harsh chemicals needed. Been doing that for years on these sleds. Keep the blow dryer running and heat up the edge of the sticker, start pulling back and then aim blow dryer at the exposed area of the sticker and continue to slowly pull back the sticker while keeping the heat on it. Works every time.
