can't hurt, but for a real workout you need 20+ minutes at 60%-70% of max heart rate. I prefer 35 miles on my bicycle with a few hills thrown in to get my heart rate up to 190 or so.
Tug, are those all there cracked up to be? How long have you been using? I've been tempted for years to get one ...tughillterror said:Bowflex at home, state of the art Fitness Center right here on campus.![]()

I have the Power Pro version (3 years old now?) and it works pretty good, haven't even come close to wearing it out and it's been used a ton. It's very convienant because you can do multiple workouts in pretty much any muscle group with little changing of positions. The new ones look better because of the pull down bar.reverand said:Tug, are those all there cracked up to be? How long have you been using? I had the same one...used it a lot..sold it for more than I paid for it. Fun and quick changes from one exercise to another.tughillterror said:I have the Power Pro version (3 years old now?) and it works pretty good, haven't even come close to wearing it out and it's been used a ton. As for results...you won't see any better than when compared to free weights, but you will be able to exercise everything you can think of in some form or another. It's worth the money if convienance is your big thing. Best thing you can do is go to Dick's and try one out for yourself. There's a bunch of copy-cats now but the Bowflex is still the best among the power rod exercise machines IMO.![]()

ya, but how many hot chicks are in your house compared to the gym. my gym membership is large coin BUT there's never anyone there. nothing better than working 12+ hour days doing manual labour then hitting the gym for an hour!!biggziff said:I had the same one...used it a lot..sold it for more than I paid for it.
