Has anyone had any luck getting in contact with Uclear? I bought the infinity headsets last year and they were amazing and I have only given them good reviews. Well, I am having issues with the mics it seems now and I cannot hear my wife or she cannot hear me around 20-30 mins into the ride. I have called probably 4-5 times and emailed 3-4. Zero reply, nothing.

If anyone has leads on how to contact them please let me know. Based on this experience I would not buy another uclear product. Should have listened to my buddies about buying the Senas.

Do you hear them say headset disconnected or just silence?

Normally when we ride in heavily wooded areas they will say “headset disconnected” then automatically repair once line of sight restored.

However I have had one issue where for some reason they unpair and do not automatically reconnect while riding through heavily wooded areas and do not say “headset disconnected”. When that happens it will not auto reconnect. Then we have to stop and manually repair which is very annoying.

Out of the 1200 miles we rode this year with new UClear Infiniti’s we only had an issue on 1 day with that problem. Normally when line of sight is restored they automatically say “headset connected” and we can hear each other again.

All that said I think when they work they are amazing and have great sound and clarity. However the pairing and intercom system is not as user friendly as it should be for technology in 2022. Not so much the fact that they unpair through thick tree areas that I expect to happen. Just the process of repairing can be annoying.

They never say disconnected, my wife can hear me but it starts to sound like I am far away, then it gets worst and just goes out. I'm pretty sure it is just the microphones but uclear, unfortunately, will not answer emails or answer the phone anymore.

I have never had UClear, just Sena and a few other brands over the years. Now the Sena the connection set up is really easy, one button push and its open mode for everyone to join, seemless in and out for folks, and just like all these communicators they have less than 1w of output power so your
Anyway, one issue I have had is the mic can get moist from our breath or from melting snow dust and than it will freeze, generally it will start getting quiet than eventually freeze where they others cant hear me. Does performing a power cycle of the unit fix the issue for a while, if so than the frozen mic is not the issue its more an a software issue with the VOX.

WE have the Motion6's. Last year (new) they seemed to work ok, but this year has been another story. The tech support is poor at best! After calling, emailing numerus times, they finely called back, but we were in Menards, so it was hard to fully get a good call in with them. We have really bad “headset disconnected” issues. Sometimes we'll be within 30' and in full sight before they'll reconnect. They sent us "special" email instructions for mesh pairing but it's no different service. Also from day one, only one speaker has worked (different side on each helmet also) on our helmets. I thought it was because both working was just for music, but the technician we talked with said no they should both be working through intercom also. Was told they're most likely not plugged in all the way but after I used some dielectric grease to help them slide better, they still only have one speaker working... Also, the Bluetooth is very confusing. Phone pairs to sled and U-Clear but still no music or sound from the speakers in my helmet. We bought these for communication between my wife and I, so Bluetooth is not a big issue, but it would be nice if it did work! We will try another call with them. but in short...their service and support is poor at best. Oh, we are on the current firm wear also! On a side note, it's strange that don'tletoff worked well last year also like ours, but this year there not good.

I have had to replace several headsets for the Motion6 units. They have to be pushed in very tight. But be careful the connector can bend and really go bad. I've also had issues with the connector working it's way out. The rubber needs spit or some kind of lube to seat up.

I've also had setup issues with them. The night before a ride I'd spend and hour getting all of our helmets together and working. The next day it seems they dumped everything. Now I'm in the cold trying to remember all of the button presses. Get them home later and go thru all of the setups and they suddenly work again.

When I first bought them they connected to my phone and GPS without intervention. That one would just work great as a bluetooth comm router when riding alone. But After two seasons I think I may have had two rides here they worked as advertised. There just always seemed to be a reason they wouldn't work right. Not happy for the money.

If you put the mic up by your nose, almost in your nostrils and only breathe through your mouth they work good I'm told

5 of us riding with the Motion 6’s for 3 years. Work great. First thing in the morning, power them up. When all standing close to each other, press the top button on each of them to go into pairing mode. When they all say pairing mode, one person touches the power button and they pair right up. Easy so far.

They are sending me new velcro pieces to relocate the mics. I hope this is the fix and if not they said they would send me new mics.

Overall - If I didn't have this microphone issue, which is probably a moisture problem, when they work I couldn't imagine a better set up. I'm just listing below based on some responses above.

Noise canceling - my 1200 is loud and the noise canceling on these headsets is next level. My wife can never ever hear my sled and when we talk it sounds like we are sitting at a cafe inside on the phone.

Set up and connection - Super easy. One thing I didn't know, after you have connected to the other headset it is a saved connection. Every time we use our headsets now all I do is turn them on, hold the volume up button for 2 seconds on one headset, and it connects to any headset that is turned on that it was previously connected to. legit takes a total of 5 seconds to connect to my wife's headset.

Comfort - I had to adjust the ear cup quite a bit in my oxygen but I love it now. Some people hate the oxygen but my helmet has been flawless and last year with the uclears, I thought it was the best set up on the market. If relocating the mics solves the problem, I will stand by that statement.

I put them exact spot mudbrats video showed. first season, amazing. This year, first 20 minutes they're good but I think the moisture of my breath messes with them since that part of the oxygen gets wet. I used the app and set everything up as well but sounds like I'm under water or far away I guess to the wife when they act up.

Crazy to me, Our uclears just wouldnt pair up no matter what. Even if we were standing in our garage in the off season when we first bought them. No go. With the sena's we both rode with Bvs2 helmets, mic's velcro'd to the inside of the cheek pad, right next to the mouth breather. Never froze once.

In the bv2s, I could see any mic working because your breath box controls the moisture and all the moisture is there. The oxygen, moisture collects in one place and thats down right in front of the chin area. When I crack my shield and get air in there all day, the mics actually seem to work a bit better for longer. when I close it up on a cold day and crank the heat on 3, I think too much moisture and the mics fail.

Again, DO NOT BUY A UCLEAR HEADSET! I'm still having issues and their customer service is the worst of all time. I call every other day and leave a message and they will not call me back. I will never buy another product based on their customer service alone!

I suspect the pandemic and supply chain have hit them hard. I've dealt with them before the pandemic and they were very responsive. Dealt with them last winter and they were very slow to respond, I had a warranty issue and they kept promising me a new unit, took over 2 months to get one and they sent me a refurbished unit. It works but certainly would have preferred a new one....they didn't even ask for the old one.

I called them probably 30 times last year and they never answered. I left a voicemail everytime to call me back, zero call backs. I emailed, called, and did everything to get their attention. Finally got on the phone and they said my account was under a traveling sales rep so all the voicemails went to him, told them my issue, they gave me trouble shooting ideas and told me to call back if a problem occurred. Well, a problem did occur and again call after call with no answer or response, I decided to give up. For a kit that is not cheap, I'd expect a lot better. I never give bad reviews with companies but I do not want anyone to go through this BS.
