Was riding Mt. Adams yesterday coming into turn one and just hammered into a snowbank, rolled into a creek, handfull of throttle and back on the trail all within seconds. My newbie riding partner is like *%@ IS THAT ALL ABOUT??? ZERO backshift is what that was all about! RPM's just hung up and I wasn't getting hammer engagement either. Then about two hours later (after a REALLY careful day to that point) backshift is back and HAMMER TIME. *%@? My guess is one of the primary weights got hung up and I was only using the other two??? What happened and how do I avoid this in the future?

TIA,

It would be a good idea to clean and service both clutches, and check the TRA arms if they are binding or sticking, also check all rollers and bushings for wear. Belt dust can create navic, on moving clutch component. Good luck.
