The 1000's where known to be problematic. The 947/951 that was in the seadoo's where bug plegged as well.

1980 SRX, 1981 SRX. Don't know the year, but I believe late 80s Arctic Cat 6000 ElTigre.
I've been lucky, never owned a piston eater, but man have I owned some garbage other then bad engines.

Some of these were always bad, some became good at the end of production cycle. Some could be made good. Some came from the factory as door stops.

900 fusion (door stop)

Vmax 540 twin (could be made good)

Exiter 570 (underpowered slug, could be made good, best at end of producrion).

First couple years Polaris Storm's (underpowered, finicky, could be made good, became one of the best as the 800,XCR at the end of it's production.

Polaris Ultra 680 (high tech for the time but disappointing power, could be made aesome)

1000 SDI. Awsome but untrustworthy says the internet
