Hey everyone - I thought it would be a neat idea to create a thread to discuss the sled of my dreams - the '99 MXZ 670 HO Toni Haikonen edition. I bought one of these new back then, but sold it shortly after because I was getting married/had to buy a house and all that jazz. Now, 16 years later I bought one from a nice boardmember here, and I quickly remember why I treasured this particular sled so much. Loved everything about it - the power, the aluminum tunnel, the numbered low windshield, the brass numbered plate, the custom graphics, the black idler wheels, the aluminum bumper, the hood cutouts around your shins with the removable foam plates for cooling, EVERYTHING!! . I'm trying to restore her to original as much as possible, so I'll do the best I can at keeping you updated :) Right now I'm looking for the original windshield, so if you have any leads please let me know! Also, thought this would be a cool place to put any ebay/Forum/Craigslists finds for the sled, and a place where we could keep track of who has what. Chime in if you own one and I'll add it to the list. Let's have fun!! Here we go:

Hey guys new to the forum I picked up a 670h.o Toni hikinion edition early this season as part of a package deal and I absolutely love the sled unfortunately my rubber damper on my governor cup is free spinning from the rest of my primary clutch and I'm having a hard time trying to find a replacement any information would be awesome as I have a ride planned this weekend with some family and friends and would love to have the 670 on the trails thanks in advance

I have owned 393 since 2006 when I bought it after the original owner traded it and I believe another. The one I purchased was his wife's. It was in amazing condition when purchased. At 21 I didn’t have a cute what I bought, it was sharp, fast and mine. I surprisingly have not photos from back then. I do remember it being a mild winter an was only able to ride once or twice. Was rode few times in 08/09 winter in our trip up to Irons MI, trails around home. It then wasn't started or rode again until Dec of 2013. Long story of discuss from 13 until Nov of 21 when it was revived. It's alive and in therapy now. Wish I would have sooner. First two pictures are from winter of 08 Irons trip and the last two are of the current. Talked with Bill Fullerton from Fullerton's PAC Inc. Very knowledgeable guy and knew a great deal about the sled, Tony, and can help with parts needed. Including a reproduction seat cover. Rode it for the first time in 7 or 8 years last week. The kids love it (4 & 6) and have sparked a new love for dad. Plan to tear it down and restore the best I can.
The sled came as you see it when I purchased other then the riser a friend installed getting it running. Bill informed me of several items that the owner or dealer installed that were factory options. The dealer where it a as original bought from have zero records due lost in storm damage. I have the original owners name and thought about reaching out.

I will update as I make repairs/restore. It's sad that I let it get to the point.

What company are you using to obtain a reproduction seat cover. I'm curious what this would cost and how good the results would be.
Call this guy. He knows the sleds better then skidoo did. Was very helpful. A close friend of his, is make reproduction or can. When I call BRP they referred me to Bill, he is a wealth of knowledge. Not sure who others are using.
