Well, I snowchecked a new sled this spring. A 2011 MXZX Etec 600 HO. Black on black. Awesome sled and can't wait to modify it a bit to make it my own.

First thing I did was add the oil res. aluminum insert made by DAN03REV. His product HERE. It prevents the oil res. from leaking.

It fits snug and should do the trick.

Next I decided to install my 6.5" Summit riser from my old sled. It is 2" taller than the stocker.

Finished riser with my riser bag attached.

it is cool to see machines that havent even been ridden yet coming apart already. I look forward to seeing the progression of the machine

Since I had to take apart the control switch to swap the riser, I decided to install the 4 bulbs in the switch. It was a easy mod. Now the swtiches light up.

Made my own jumper wire to light up the Start/RER and M/S buttons

After I got the riser on I could put this all together. Finished...

Next was to install the Temp Module with Compass and Lap Counter. Easy to do also. Pop out the guage and just plug it in.

Plugs into this plug...

Mount the black box to the top of the airbox on the two studs that are on it. This needs to be done or the compass will not work correct.

Got to be like Chris Burandt and bring HOT food with me so on goes the Muff Pot. There is room in here to install.

While I had the gauge out I installed the strap for the windshield bag.

A fair amount. I put maps in there mostly. Keys, gum, small LED flashlight. I think they are a must have for any XP. No storage space.

I have a question for you. I planned on putting the bulbs the 4 bulbs in too. The jumper wire is my question? Could you show me a better detailed picture. Maybe circle the wire in another picture. I plan on doing the same thing as you did. Hopefully in a week or so when my sled gets here.

does she have any sisters that are like 20-22? Im available and can always use a helping hand in the garage. man am i jealous of you guys with these new sleds. lol mine is new to me though. I only had it for 2 months last winter. lol steve

What does the M/S button do?

Its the Mode/Select switch. Its lets you go through the different functions of the premium gauge package. The M and S buttons on the gauge itself do the same.
