Your traction will be better on hard pack but worse on ice. With that short of a stud and that long of a nut you will only get about 1/8th of an inch of stud hanging out past the nut. On hardpack it will all grab (nut included), but on ice the stud can only penetrate to where the nut starts. Make sense?
Personally I wouldn't put the tall nuts on anything shorter than a 1.325.
Yeah i knew the part about gettin less traction on ice but this sled isn't my racer, just a trail sled (05 500ss) just thought it'd help the studs last a little longer and not bend so easly. and i have about 1/2 sticking past the nut. the Nuts are just a little below the track lugs. anyways i guess i'll see how they hold up this weekend....thanks.
