speedo on a 05 help!

my buddy just got an 05 440 and like most race sleds it doesn't come with a speedo on the right side of the dash. the previous owner put a piece of cardboard off a box or something that says skidoo on it and it look terrible. now he wants to get a speedo but doesn't wanna spend the big bucks and buy 1 from a dealer and doesn't wanna get it off ebay. where can i find 1 for cheap? or what else can i do there? he works in a machine shop and was thinking of making a alumium plate with skidoo ingraved in it. need some ideas! also if i do pick up 1 we are both unsure of how to hook it up, its not like the old style sleds where u just take the cable and screw it in under the secondary. how would u go about doing this?? thanks

well on a 2005 440... all you need is just the speedo. The connector is already there under the gaugepod so all you need is to mount the speedo and plug it in.

Did you know that the Tach on that sled also doubles as a speedo? The MPH will read in the digital display.

If he is intent on a "consumer model" speedo. PM BOBLER on here. He has a good used one for sale at a very reasonable price
