Spark plug wires broke

I had the stock rev spark plug wire boot break on me and need to replace it. It seems the stock ones are glued on and I don't think they can be replaced. Can you just get some spark plug wire and boots to make two and put them in? What other options do you have? Oh, I broke that clip going into the coil too!

The exact same thing happended to me on my 03 Rev 800. I bought 2 new wires and a clip from the
dealer. I think the wires were about $20. I couldnt get the new clip to lock right and ended up using
silicon adhesive to hold them in the coil. The new wire connectors seem to work just fine.

I had a dealer quote me $40 for both stock spark plug wires and boots! I thought that was a little high, so I am looking at just getting the wire and making my own. It is just the principle. I changed spark plug wires on my boat this year and I don't think the 8 of them, all longer than the rev, were $20.

Huh? I bought two caps last year for my 04 800 from the dealer. Think they were around 8$ or so. Cut the old one off and screw the new one on with some silicone and I am good to go. Same cap as I took off.

Caps are cheap to replace, couple bucks for the NGK ones and the dealers usually have boxes of em.

As long as the wires didnt break too short this is a simple fix.
I tried to twist the stock plug cap off but didn't know they were glued. i twisted up the wire and need a new one. I also broke the clip when trying to take it out. I wasn't happy after the cap broke at 8 am!
