Something is Rattling???

I started up the sled today, 05 mxzx 600sdi, idles normally, but when you give it some gas and get the track spinning I get a rattling sound. Like a baby rattle. Seems to be coming from the front (drivers). It's a new sound and it's not a clicking like I would get from track clips. Do I dare ask for some opinions on what it might be?

does it rattle when at idle??.... i discovered rattle from a brake rotor once for another guy on the trail...dan
i know you said it sounds like its coming from the drivers but....perhaps a clutch cover rattling?
If it is only rattling when your track starts to turn, it will be your track clips hitting your rail protectors, and thats fine.

I curently have a brake rotor rattle on my 500SS. It really is buggin me. Grab the rotor and see if it is loose. I think I need a new key for the rotor, but not sure yet? It is the rattle for me though. Start it up and see if it stops when you hit the brake. If it is only when the track is moving, lightly tighten the brake and see if it stops.

Hop'g I can pull it apart by taking my jack shoft off from the secondary clutch side and taking off the top sprocket without removing the entire chain case. Not sure though?

Anyone know if I can do it that way, pm me.
thanks
I would look at the primary clutch, the brake rotor and the slides.
Electric start model?

Their common for the starter gear to walk out and rattle against the ring gear on the clutch...
chiefogema, you will have to take off the entire chaincase to change brake rotor key.
Its very easy to do.
