what is the snow like on the hill, think it will keep its base with all this warm weather and rain. they are talking snow for this weekend.

A friend went for a ride wednesday and then went out grooming wednesday night for club Timberview. He said the trails weren't that bad but theyre callling for warm weather until saturday night. Im sure there wont be too much left of the trails after that.

any new snow on the hill. looking to come up wendsday threw saturday.8 of us staying in forestport hoping to ride from there.keep us posted.

URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE BUFFALO NY
346 PM EST SAT FEB 4 2006

...WINTER CONDITIONS TO RETURN TO THE AREA THIS WEEKEND...

.LOW PRESSURE MOVING NORTH ACROSS EASTERN OHIO THIS AFTERNOON
WILL TRACK JUST WEST OF LAKE ONTARIO TONIGHT...THEN LIFT NORTH
INTO SOUTHERN QUEBEC TOWARD SUNDAY EVENING.

THE LOW WILL BRING A GENERAL LIGHT SNOWFALL TO ALL OF WESTERN NEW
YORK TONIGHT. STRONG SOUTHWEST WINDS FOLLOWING THIS LOW WILL
USHER IN MUCH COLDER AIR SUNDAY MORNING AND GENERATE BANDS OF LAKE
EFFECT SNOW. THE SOUTHWEST WINDS WILL DIRECT THE STEADIER LAKE
SNOWS INTO AREAS THAT ARE EAST AND NORTHEAST OF LAKE ERIE THROUGH
AT LEAST SUNDAY AFTERNOON. THIS WILL INCLUDE THE BUFFALO
METROPOLITAN AREA. THE SNOW...COMBINED WITH WINDS GUSTING UP TO 50
MPH...WILL PRODUCE FREQUENT WHITEOUTS AND VERY POOR DRIVING
CONDITIONS THROUGHOUT SUNDAY.

THE LAKE ERIE SNOW BANDS WILL THEN SETTLE SLOWLY TO THE SOUTH
SUNDAY EVENING AND SUNDAY NIGHT AS THE WINDS SHIFTS TO THE WEST.
THE TEMPERATURES WILL REMAIN COLD ENOUGH TO KEEP THE LAKE EFFECT
SNOW GOING ACROSS THE SOUTHERN TIER THROUGH MONDAY AND TUESDAY.

AREAS EAST OF LAKE ONTARIO WILL SEE A COUPLE INCHES OF SNOW ON
SUNDAY...BUT THE HEAVIER LAKE EFFECT SNOW WILL HOLD OFF UNTIL
THE COLDER AIR BUILDS INTO THE AREA SUNDAY EVENING. THE LAKE
EFFECT SNOW EAST OFF LAKE ONTARIO WILL ALSO LAST THROUGH TUESDAY.

SINCE THIS IS THE FIRST SIGNIFICANT WINTER WEATHER THAT WE HAVE
SEEN IN QUITE AWHILE...MOTORISTS ARE URGED TO USE EXTRA CAUTION

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BUFFALO HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM
WARNING...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO 6 PM EST
SUNDAY. THE WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.

RAIN WILL CHANGE TO SNOW TONIGHT AND ACCUMULATE ABOUT AN INCH BY
SUNDAY MORNING. AS COLDER AIR BUILDS INTO THE AREA SUNDAY
MORNING...LAKE EFFECT SNOW WILL BEGIN AND ACCUMULATE 3 TO 5 INCHES
BY LATE SUNDAY AFTERNOON. THE COMBINATION OF SNOW AND SOUTHWEST WINDS
GUSTING UP TO 50 MPH WILL CREATE FREQUENT WHITEOUTS AND VERY
DIFFICULT DRIVING CONDITIONS LATE TONIGHT AND SUNDAY.

THE STEADIER LAKE SNOWS ARE EXPECTED TO SETTLE SOUTH OF THE AREA
SUNDAY EVENING.

Tug Hill has got well over a foot of snow and the valley has picked up about a foot. Me and a friend are going out grooming tonight for Timberview so trails should be good for wednesday night wing run and for this weekend. Theyre calling for another 6-10 through tuesday morning.
