Looking for feedback on ski-doo ice scratchers with smart Shox. Looks like historically ski-doo said they are not compatible but checking now they show as fitting the mxz XRS 137 with smart Shox. Looks like they do fit bit a bit tight. Any experience and or concerns?

Woah. Here's something interesting...the picture has changed completely for the new scratchers. Here's what they used to look like in the Spring when I ordered them:

Here's what they look like now. Notice the identical part number.

I'm minorly concerned because the "old" photo clearly shows a larger hole for an idler wheel to bolt to. The new photo...not so much.

EDIT: On closer inspection, it looks like an existing idler (presumably the front most) gets sandwiched between the mount, and the tip holder. Nifty. The new design looks much beefier / sturdier than the old one.

Getting exited for these! @EVIL DOOER thanks for the heads up on Friday - I'll ping my dealer and ask in a week.

Final edit I swear. The instructions are already up and upon review, I'm very excited for these scratchers. Mount on the front most wheel so no issues with smart shox, and should spray maximal snow at the track. The one downside of my tunnel mount scratchers are that they didn't kick as much snow onto the track as they could have. The tradeoff with these is that they likely won't be quite as easy to deploy, but otherwise they look pretty darn good.

Yes - The new ones on backorder that I've been talking about are the ONLY way to get scratchers on a 129" smart shox sled. They're also likely a better way to do it on a 137. The downside is...they're on backorder.

@EVIL DOOER they still show as back order for me, did you have any luck with your dealer?

That is my sled in the video from Robertson's, I put 2200 miles on that sled the first year and had no issues with the scratchers, they worked awesome. I broke my wrist last year and only rode 1000 miles and again, no issues.

Yeah, going to be very curious about that. Will likely head to the Toronto show and chat with them about it. I would have loved a comparison matrix (and mentioned this to them) but they were very descriptive and I appreciate that. My only concern is that the way they set things up (no center preload, slammed down if possible, etc) is not at all how I like things set up (decent center preload, relatively high up for maximum travel)...and I wonder if that "mind set" carries through to the tune.
