It might be wishful thinking on my part, since I am considering buying another sled. But seems prices are coming down.

I am seeing all these comp turbos come down under $20k on Facebook marketplace as well. Slap the new RAS RX front end on an 24 and you have a brand new 25 for much less. I think my Rave has held its value slightly over a comparable condition and mileage Renegade, but not by much. Sadly, there are some new 23 and newer Polaris sleds out there too. Plenty of Boost trails sleds that didn’t sell.

I don’t follow it much, but I know they are expensive. Has the SxS market reacted similarly to the sled market recently?

Great time to be looking for a sled, happy hunting folks!

just dropped to $8200 and a ‘17 600 tnt 1100 miles was $6500 dropped to $6000 after a week
Besides the price, what shocked me is that the sled in the original posting above had been on the market for a week and still not sold. And there were other turbo Ski Doo sleds under $7,000 that had not sold ether. Generally, like Tree Doctor pointed out, lots of snowmobile listings on FB are now showing a reduced price, some significant. There is not much of a market. Going to be an interesting "Fall".

Everything stabilizing as some of us thought. Used Sled market correcting, and coming back to reality. Covid messed everything up in so many ways, and a bad winter or two has shook things up as well; but I feel as we proceed into autumn, the used sled market will continue to improve for the buyers, and if this upcoming winter can deliver even a half way decent performance, I think we get back to a healthy place in the world of snowmobiling.

The Polaris rebates on un-sold 23 and 24 stock is going to decimate the used sled market this winter, in my opinion. The Polaris dealers were all given free floor planning on old stock for 24', assuming they still ordered a healthy amount of 25's. It's a recipe for disaster because they will have 25's coming with more than a full seasons worth of 23/24's on ground. The rebates and pricing will be ridiculous.

Great time to be selling a 22 and buying a 25 snowcheck..... You win some an lose some I guess.

Might just have to keep the 22 as a back up. Dealers have fire sales going on 24s at this point I have seen almost $4k off. Trying to sell a 22 with low miles and the dealer is selling same sled brand new 24 for $13,500 is rough. Sure they have taxes, set-up, etc. but even still trade ins and private sales will be rough. Anybody looking for a used or 24 is going to get an awesome deal.

My dealer buddy and I were having the same conversation a few days ago. We both agree that used prices seem to have fallen the last couple of weeks when in a normal season they should be trending upwards. He sold a few used sleds in the spring and acknowledges that he couldnt sell them for the same money today. The values of EVERYTHING is falling. Used trucks, boats, SxS all are in the sh-tter.

Agreed. It’s all part of the stabilizing process. A couple years back the sellers were killing it. Now the buyers are gonna be getting the good end of the so-called per-verbal stick. It will all balance out in the end. Bring the good winter this year across the Northeast and upper Midwest and Canada…And we’ll all be off and running.

It all depends on the weather. In the big picture, the past 2 winters in the northeast have been bad, last year was really bad. As far north as Maine, they stopped grooming mid February, and riding was done shortly after, normally can ride well into March up there, even first week of April. I remember seeing a post on Facebook that a club in Maine groomed 280hrs in 23/24. Their average is 780hrs per year.

If we see a slammer of a winter this year(which forecasts are saying) prices will come back up a bit and stay put. There are a lot of sleds out there that people have been sitting on for a while, hence the price drop. Not to mention dealers have a good amount of new with the crap season and high interest rates. This month and next are normally some of the best sled prices for used, guys have new sleds coming and need the cash to put towards them. Hopes were high at the end of the season, but now they are resorting to just getting the thing sold.

Picked up this 21 850 XRS with 1580 miles last night for $8500. 1.5 Ice Ripper, QA option, low beam aux light, clutch has clickers. Dude threw in a couple gallons of oil, a set of stock carbides, and a brand new spare belt too.

I'd say you scored on that one! Seems like a very good price for the sled, let alone $500 worth of extras
