Martin) Is there a way to adjust something so that my free wheeling top speed type riding doest push past the under load settings?
Joey) Thanks for the feedback. Your sled is geared 21-51 for a maximum top speed of 137kmh(85mph)

When you drive somewhere out past 127kmh(79mph) the clutches are coming to their end point of shifting. Meaning, they come to the end of their shifting stroke. At 137kmh(85mph) the clutches have dead-stop-upshifting. There is nowhere else for the drive belt to go. The only thing that can happen is the engine takes off into overrev. You keep on throttle and the engine will go to 8500 – it can’t do anything else, you ran out of gear.

If you want to go faster than 137kmh(85mph) then you have to gear faster. Remove the 21 and install a 22 for 144kmh, 23 top gear for 150kmh….BUT….for the downside of lowering the strength of acceleration the 21 top gears has. My opinion, don’t drive the sled faster than 127kmh(79mph).

And by the way, you’ve already started damage on the drive belt by putting it into the bottom of the secondary clutch.

Hi David. It is imperative the turbo engine have the airbox inlets clean at all time. The amount of air the turbo gulps with the increased horsepower, the air vents must be clean as best as you can, all the time. Thanks for your feedback, Joey

Hi Tony. Thanks for the feedback. What you say is common about the lag and its more pronounced at 8k feet plus.
From my test guys testing different maptun, we think the bikeman the way their program works is the lever that pushes on the waste gate, comes on too slow. The maptun comes on quicker and you can hear boost, more early in the rpms. My test guy jamie went from bikeman to maptun, direct change over and could not believe the difference in bottom/midrange how strong it was, nearly like natural aspirated engine.
If that amazon blanket does make a change, then let me know. I dunno if it will, I think it’s the actuator timing for the turbo valve is not actuating soon enough, like there’s a lag in it.
If you want stronger engine braking, go to a 20 or 19 top gear but remember they are HYVO gears. You can go as low as 19 and not change the chain. Tighten up belt deflection so that when the sled is off the ground and engine idling, the secondary is being tugged and with difficulty you can pull on the sheave with 2 fingers, very difficult, but the tension has to be that tight…………engine idling, looks like secondary wants to turn.
