Hi Ian. Thanks for the feedback.

I think the 965's are a little bit more revvy off the bottom end than the 990 ramps. Im just saying how i feel them when running the sled, they do have 200 rpms more at part throttle than a 990, like say driving along at 35mph going from this snow patch over to that snow patch, they rev just a little higher. Im not taking anything away from the 990, Me i like lower engine speed at part throttle

Really, you could put all 6 ramps in a hat. 3 x 990 and 3 x 965 and dont look and pull a ramp out of your hat. The ramp you pull out of your hat, go run that ramp at home.

Or if you dont feel like doing to work to change the 965 out, just leave them in and run them in the Y00P

Hi Steve, thanks for the feedback.

  • mostly between 5000 to 6500 feet, set for 6000 feet
  • full pin underload on a steep hill i hit 8000rpm
  • once in a while i saw 8100 and 8200 unloaded

Weight determines engine speed.

IF need less rpms, THEN add more weight

0.5 grams = estimated 100 rpms change.

Current setting

16.6g = TI35mm + s7mm + s4mm for 6000' @ 8000 rpms

Go from 16.6 grams to the next-heavier weight.

17.0g = 30mm + s2mm

…that should push the engine speed down a little bit.

Think in slow motion when you "mash throttle"

Want to see the engine accelerate to about 81~8000 (this is track spinning off the start)

Vehicle speed starts to increase

Engine speed goes from 8100~8000~7900 (track hooks up)…continue looking in slow motion

…7900 up to 8000 rpms and stays rock solid at 8000 rpms.

IF have rock solid 8000 rpms, THEN can try to add a little more grams.

Go from 16.6 to 17.0g and that should push just about 100 rpms lower.

If you can make the engine float around like 7900~7950~8000~7950 that will be Mint!

HP per elevation

6500 feet @ 124hp

5500 feet @ 129hp

4500 feet @ 134hp

3500 feet @ 139hp

2500 feet @ 144hp

….so now you have 5hp increase for every 1000 feet you go down. But wait, you did not change the flyweight grams to match the power increase as you go down in elevation.

OK then, make the clutch pull harder for your 30 minute ride up/down. Take the 4 minutes to clicker down to #1 and let the clutch lower the engine speed and pull better to get lower engine speed at part throttle and better mileage.

Comments: I made a previous order before this and canceled it because i forgot to give you the specs of my sled. so i only want one order of the kit. my sled is a 2007 blizzard 600 sdi with a 121x15x1.5 paddle track on it with 20/43 gearing my weight is 215lb with gear

850T (2021) 154x 2.5 Turbo freeride

Hi Ray.

The 850 turbo should only have the 984 or 994 or 903 ramps.

Yours has the xxxxxx758 (994) and are correct.

21.9g = 40mm + s4mm = 98.3g for 8000 feet

20.7g = 40mm + s2mm = 97.0g @ 9000ft

19.8g = 35mm + s4mm = 96.0g @ 10000ft

You can run 19.8 grams for a start at 10000 feet and that should give you 9000~11000 feet and not have to touch the clicker eh…

Hope you don't run a bikeman can.

Don't run a redline can.

Run stock muffler for now please.

Joe)Hi Blaise, run clicker #4 with that "very soft" drive-belt. You can see now in real live action how soft that belt is an how the sheaves grab the belt compared to the skidoo 571 belt.

Umm, the engage speed should be 2700, is it higher?

Let er run at 7800 in clicker #3, don't touch the pivot weight now.

Now you can clicker up to #4 and be around 8000.

Hello Mat. Thank you for the feedback.

  • If you want, try to add ½ gram to push down 100 rpms. That's up to you.

What usually happens is you quickly press full throttle, (think in slow motion now) engine speed up to 8100 (track spin) then vehicle speed start to increase, track hooks up(engine speed comes down to 7900) then engine speeds back to 8000 rpms and stay.

The 850 makes 160hp at 7900. It also make 160hp at 8000 rpms. The difference between 79~8000 is, at 8000 the engine have approximately 1.5 pounds less torque than 7900. So you can make the engine speed float around 7950 and it will be good between 79~8000.
