signs of bad rings

I bought a o4 mxzx 600 ho sdi last march and only got to ride it once before the snow melted. The guy i bought it off said the rings were done at 1400 mi it now has 1900 mi. I was just looking through some of the old post on bad rings and maybe got a little paranoid. But some of them said things about it stalling when going in to reverse, having to hold the throttle open to start it when it is hot. Well both of these were happening to mine last year. It would always start on first or second pull when cold but had to hold throttle open when hot also stalled out when going in to reverse. Are these signs that maybe i have bad rings or is this caused by somthig else. Hopfully something else. I don't want to think the guy who sold me my sled was lying or was he. Any info greatly appreciated.
