I believe it's about 10" wide by 12" long, not including the end where the handle goes in.

Great thanks, I was looking for a cheap alternative but ended up ordering the doo one anyways so I can mount it under the hood without issue

Good Choice!

I do not get plastic shovels. They do not seem to do
well at all in hard pack (no bite in avalanche snow) THe metal
shovels doo well under all conditions I have run up against so
far. The the snow seems not to stick to the powder coated ones.

SOme have oval shaped shafts. they are stronger that the
round handle shafts.
