Should I scrap the stock carbides immediately on my new 25' Blizzard 850 129?

I usually get new carbides right away even on brand new sleds but I feel like I should get some moneys worth out of the stock carbides for this year? How bad are the stock 4" x 7/16 round bars with the Iceripper track? I will be running Navigators like I do on all skis now. I feel they cut down on any darting and definately prolong the life of the skis.
When I do get new runners I was planning on trying the Woody's Trailblazer IV 6" round bar carbide. I've ran shaper bars and a few others but I don't think I need the square bars with the 1.25 Iceripper. Pus my last set of Shapers I didn't feel like they were as good of quality as they use to be. What are peoples thoughts on the stock 4" carbides? They're probably made by Woody's anyway right?

Replying for future reference 🍻😁

I have the same sled but a 137. Riding solo I don't have much to complain about with the stockers.

But when I switch to the 2-up seat and the Missus comes along, I found that off camber corners it tended to push, especially when things were a little loose.

Full disclosure, I'm not a super aggressive rider looking to corner fast. So what is generally satisfactory for me might not be for someone else. But I do like FordFan's suggestion above.

I bought a 2025 137” MXZ 850 in the middle of last season. I normally do all kinds of mods including skis and carbides. Well, all I did this time was literally go from the dealer right to the trail. Made literally no changes and was honestly 100% happy with it the entire rest of the season. Complete surprise to me..

So maybe just ride the darn thing first before making any changes.

Scrap them.
There are new type of carbides called “cobra”. Is what this dealer calls them. Totally different sled with those on. More controllable in any conditions and last longer but I generally don’t run on roads, gravel or pavement.

Definitely put the Qualipieces Cobras on it. They call them Adventures now. Move the stock to the outside for edge protection.

I ran Shaper bars for years. The Cobras stopped the darting and were way easier to steer. 6.9s and RasX skis

A buddy has a '21 MXZ 600R 129" and ran the stock carbides with no outer carbide, and his skis got tore up in a few seasons. He later added Bergstrom tripples to the center and moved the stock to the outside. I just bought a '25 MXZ 600R 137" and did the same thing.

I'd run the stockers in the center, and toss an old beat up pair on the outside to protect the ski (if the 25 blizzard still has the pilot x with the outer carbide provision). Early season conditions will likely beat them up anyways, so may as well use em and then move them to the outside when conditions improve and put your choice up the center.
