Hey guys I have 2016 mxzx 1200 and I haven't been on a skidoo since 2000, I was just wondering if I could "wined" the secondary sping tighter to raise the rpms alittle, coming from a yamaha you can just go up ten on the secondary spring to raise rpms, can I increase rpms that way on my Doo?

secondary spring should not effect max rpm

but if too soft will keep the rpms down, it loads the motor more by keeping the secondary in a higher gear

like trying to take off in 3 gear in your car/truck

stiffer secondary spring will keep up the rpms by keeping the clutch in a lower gear, like driving in 1st gear in a vehicle

stiffer primary spring will raise engagement and/or max rpm

so a 100/200 spring changed to a 130/200 should only raise engagement

where a change to a 100/250 spring should only raise max rpms
